Vincent Shenocca, a 42-year-old New Jersey construction worker, filed for divorce from his wife, Sharon, a former receptionist with the New York Giants, on the grounds of “extreme mental cruelty.” Shenocca’s court papers say his wife of 10 years “has had a relationship with Bill Belichick for several years” and would not end it, despite her husband’s pleas.

“This relationship appears to have blossomed, including more frequent telephone calls, and (Mrs. Shenocca’s) receipt of large sums of money and expensive gifts from Mr. Belichick, which she has used to purchase expensive clothing, pocketbooks, watches, a treadmill and maid service, most of which she initially hid from (her husband),” the New Jersey court papers say.

Shenocca told his wife “that he did not feel comfortable with her receipt of expensive gifts and large sums of money from Mr. Belichick,” the papers continue, but she “refused to consider (his) feelings and has continued her relationship with Mr. Belichick.”

Shenocca’s attorneys filed a request with the court yesterday asking for permission to take Belichick’s deposition to quiz him about what exactly is going on between him and the attractive blonde. A hearing is set for early August.

Sharon Shenocca, described as a slim, blue-eyed 41-year-old stay-at-home mom, reportedly met Belichick when she was with the Giants. Belichick, 54, was the defensive coordinator there until 1990 and Vincent Shenocca believes that his wife and the coach have been involved for several years.

He claims that Belichick has sent limos to the house to pick up his wife, that he flew her to Super Bowl XXXVIII in Houston, and that he has plied her with large amounts of cash. Mrs. Shenocca reportedly is looking at posh pads in Brooklyn, N.Y. and her husband is questioning how she can afford pricey real estate when she doesn’t work.

“He is heartbroken,” said one inside source. “He loved his wife and strongly surmises something is going on with her and Bill Belichick.”

Sharon Shenocca did not return calls yesterday. In her court papers she admits receiving gifts from “an individual,” but says that she never hid the friendship from her husband and that the relationship was “plutonic” (sic).

“Monies that I received from this individual were shared with (her husband),” Mrs. Shenocca said, adding that Vincent Shenocca “became unreasonably upset and jealous regarding my friendship with this other individual, often becoming loudly and profanely critical of (her) friendship outside of the marriage.”

She claims that her husband’s outbursts have been so virulent that “her health and safety have become endangered and it is improper and unreasonable to expect (her) to cohabit with (her husband).”
Vincent Shenocca is seeking residential custody of the couple’s two children. He objects to his wife’s request to move with them to New York. Sharon Shenocca is also seeking custody and wants her husband to support her and the kids.

“It’s a pretty ugly road they’re going down,” said our source.

A spokesman for the Patriots declined to comment on the matter.

“Generally speaking, I don’t seek comments on inquiries that are personal in nature,” said team spokesguy Stacey James.

Belichick and his wife of 28 years, Debby, separated before the 2004 football season but do spend time together. She was with him at his father’s funeral in November and the two recently appeared together at a fund-raiser for AccesSport, one of Debby’s pet charities. The couple has three children.

Hey, he may not be much to look at, but if he goes about his business with the same thoroughness and attention to detail he gives to football he's probably a freakin' Casanova, LOL.

Good for Coach, I say. Some may think this might be a distraction, but I take the opposite stance. Nice to know he's tappin' something, somewhere. All work and no play make Bill a dull boy.

so BB takes a woman under distress at home and helps her out in a strictly friends only relationship, is there something wrong ith this? out of the kindness of his heart he helps only to be destroyed in the media. go figure

I think the only tapping going on here is the knocking on the door of BB's attorney to press Slander charges against Shennocca - Typical Jets fan doing anything to disrupt the Pats

can't wait for borgess to write about this

- maybe this poor woman knows defense and designed the scheme for superbowl xxxviii and her reward was a limo to the game?

Or maybe he WAS tapping a married woman. Who cares. It's not our business, it's not the media's business, and it's certainly not Borges the Troll's business. It's between Belichick, the woman, and her husband, and I hope he tells the media as much if they actually have the cojones to bring it up to him.

(One thing you can count on, though: Belichick won't really give a crap what the media says about him. The first person who attempts to ask the question will get rebuffed, and he won't even give it another thought. I doubt he reads the newspapers, and if he does I'm pretty sure he doesn't toss and turn at night over what the Borgeses of the Boston media print about him.)

The guy puts in 20 hours a day at the office, coaches his team to three Super Bowls and still manages to find time to (allegedly) screw around with a MILF that lives 200 miles away.

Is there anything this guy can't do?

Maybe, but I think it is kind of an old story, Borges implied this previously with a south shore woman and nothing was reported again, BB and wife split but reconcile after they purchase a $4,000,000 piece of land in Nantucket, Bonnie does gymnastics on BB parallel bar but again the story fades quickly. It is just a bunch of page 6 news like the National Inquirer -

what makes you think this isn't just fodder for a civil suit against BB by this dude for pain and suffering of a failed marriage. Heck A guy is going after Mike Jordan because they look-a-like even though he is 6'-2" not 6"-6" and decided to shave his own head and get a similar ear ring as Jordan - but it is Jordan's fault they look-a-like.

it is just a way to get a high profile divorce and is between the parties involved. I would never pick on a divorce or failed marriage

well thats the trick - he has graduate assistants to do this for him - how else did Pioli get started and later married to Parcells daughter

We discussed the pros and cons of whether or not BB's marital status was the Herald's or our business on these pages a while back, but it is clear that this little drama did not merit a full page picture of the coach under the headline "BILL STOLE MY WIFE".

It was lowbrow journalism at it's worst, but it got me to cough up 75 cents to read about two people in New Jersey who are unhappy with each other and their words which came directly from their lawyers, except for her insisting that their relationship was "plutonic". Either that or her lawyer went to Satriale's School of Law in Hoboken.
