This thread is for those of you who care to indulge in prosaic, poetic smack. No need to stick to sonnets and/or iambic pentameter; haiku, freestyle, and my favorite Dr. Suess-style are always encouraged. . .Allow me to start

Three out of four years Pats were the best
But this week its them the Bolts will molest
Brees to Gates will be heard all day
LT will make your defense miss and pay
Even though I feel for Rodney the Hit Man
Beating up on the Pats will still delight this fan
Though your team is certainly a worthy foe
Brady will rush almost every throw
To avoid the pain of yet another hit
and repeated trainer trips to the first aid kit
Still we enjoy mutual respect for each other here
After we demolish the Steelers next, you can buy me a beer.

I think the mere fact that you said the Bolts would MOLEST the Patriots is disturbing enough... since I'm still pretty new here, can any of you older guys (or gals) let me know if we've been threatened with unwanted penetration before? We aren't the 49ers, dammit!

I hate to admit but Pats fans are great
I hope they still like me when we win by 28
This week for Pats the outcome looks bleak
I wish I could be there in the Blade this week
One thing is certain and for that I'm impressed
You guys are all funny, your wit is blessed
I'm guessing it comes from a winning habit

These Charger fans are driving me crazy. They're so meek and mild that it's hard to not like them. And then, to top it all off. POETRY!?!




How are we supposed to tell these guys where to stick it with attitudes like this?

I am much moe comfortable with despising the other teams fanbase.
What happened to fregon (FRANCIS is his pet name)? he seemed like someone we could dislike without trying too hard....

I agree. But it's been good pacing this year. Raiders Fans (!!!) Panther fans (whewwww.) Steelersfans (!!!) Bolts fan (whewwww). Even mellower next week. Is there such a thing as a Falcons fan? Atlanta sports fans make Los Angles sports fans look like fanatics by comparison.

Well no one hates the raiders like Charger's fans. LEt me share a few we can all appreciate:


Dark and lonely on an autumn night
Raider fans sits with his glass pipe, what a sight!
Smoking that crack for a moment he thinks
that maybe the Raiders will win from those offseason hi-jinks
Still as he rubs his aching wrists
from the damn handcuffs 5-0 always slips over his fists
He knows his parole officer is always right
the Chargers team has the West locked up tight
Now he get's ready to earn some scratch
Gotta find some poor victim to catch
Practicing his line "Gimme your wallet Meester!"
Soon he'll be back in his cell rubbing his sore keester
Poor little Raider fan in the Silver and Black
Your team is doomed to defeat, overwhelmed by the Bolt attack.

LOL listening to raiders fans attempt to lay smack!
Makes me laugh so hard I risk a heart attack
I was there last year when we clobbered your blokes
they played with no heart, one of the NFL's biggest jokes
I watched little felons cry in the halls
knowing their Raiders had no heart or balls
This year they'll be even worse
no matter that opened his purse
Because the stench of ill that marks Raider Nation
Permeates not only the fans, but the whole organization

Oh yeah, I have some for the Fins too. Just a good change from:

"The (insert opposing team here) sucks and (insert opposing player name) is no threat because our (offense/defense) will own them because of our (trade/draft pick) and our (coach/qb)."

ITs funny actually, I am an irascible smacker on other boards, but your guys whole "looking past X, let's focus on Y" trick to net homers really won me over Plus you guys show us more respect than our division rivals.
