Aaron Rodgers is THE MAN...Hands down
TFB could learn a thing or 2 from Aaron right now about being clutch.
I know that the above statement sounds very troll-ish.....All I can tell everyone is that I am truly not looking to start a riot. Just saying that Rodgers manned up all year and absolutely carried his team to that Superbowl Victory. It's been 6+ years since TFB and company won their last ring. IMO BB needs to use THIS DRAFT to grab as many studs as he possibly can and NOT TRADE DOWN! Brady's window is fast closing....And with yet another bona-fide stud now establishing his superiority in the NFL the Pats need to do everthing they can RIGHT NOW! I just want ONE MORE RING....JUST ONE!!!! |

2007: Patriots go 16-0 and win 2 playoff games only to choke away the SB in one of the worst losses in sports history. 2008: mulligan season (Bernard Pollard). 2009: Patriots lose at home in the first round of the playoffs to a very beatable Ravens team, playing horribly in the process. 2010: Patriots lose at home in the first round of the playoffs (after finishing with a league-best 14-2 record, Brady winning MVP, and Belichick winning COTY) to a very beatable Jets team, playing horribly in the process. I don't know if it's Brady, Belichick, or the gods are just angry, but they better figure something the **** out quickly. It's been ugly around here for half a decade. It's nice to perennially challenge, but they've underachieved ridiculously for 6 seasons now. |

Yeah except GB was second in points allowed and caused 3 turnovers tonight, so before we talking about carrying and what brady can learn, you need to look at whats there. The last time the pats were a defense like that, they won the superbowl, it sure helps when your Qb has 2 ints and no td's like rodgers did in the game before this, to help you win. Rodgers played great tonight, not so great in the nfc title game, but as good as he played tonight, they probably lose if the defense does not force those turnovers. You are right though, its time for some playmakers on defense, matthews was a beast again tonight, forcing that fumble late, and the pressure he was bringing. That is needed for any team to win it all.

He was great. No matter how many players went down on offense . He kept making big plays to win games. Unlike when the steelers faced flacco and Sanchez. When they kept hitting rodgers he did not start playing like crap. He was still making the smart throws to his players.

green bay and Rogers had a defense like Tom used too have
GB never trailed by 8 points all season that said I hope Aaron handles the new fame as well as Tommy |

I totally agree with the above comments. Rogers seems like a good kid who will handle the fame quite well. In Green Bay he probably has no choice, the players aren't as insulated from their fan base as players in larger cities are. I suspect that the fans will let him know if the head is getting too large.

He is an easy guy to root for. Works his ass off, he's a class act and one hell of a fine QB. That said, I wish him no more success than he had last night.

Rodgers was great, but call me when he's got 3 rings, and been to the bowl 4 times.

TFB is just fine. NE's defense needs to get healthy, deeper, and more aggressive. McCourty can't be the only guy stealing the ball from opponents. I think BB took a huge step this year to make the team stronger for the long haul. Looking forward to the draft. Rodgers is very likeable, and I was glad to see all the happy GB players. Good SB, not great; but it was great seeing Ben shit in his spandex.

Obviously, the Defense needs serious work as that's what killed us against the Jests, but I will say this. I think the super stardom-married to a model-uber gq-long hair lifestyle has gotten to Tom a bit. It's kind of like Wild Thing at the beginning of Major League 2 (forgive me for referencing that film, but it fits). He let the success get to him, changed everything and started having troubles. Brady needs to get back to the roots a bit and remember who he was.

If I were statring a team today Rodgers would be my choice for qb. Just now in his prime, great arm, throws the best ball in the NFL & can use his legs to get out of trouble. Great team player. Nothing not to like about him.
