Belichick: 'Good to see' injured players at practice

FOXBOROUGH -- Patriots coach Bill Belichick said Friday that it was a boost to see a handful of injured players returning to practice, noting that some of them will be game-time decisions.



Safety Brandon Meriweather (foot), left tackle Matt Light (knee), center Dan Koppen (knee), running back Sammy Morris (knee), receiver Julian Edelman (forearm) and linebacker Eric Alexander (groin) all were present for the start of practice Friday.



"It was certainly good to see most of the guys out there, running around, participating," Belichick said. "Some of those, of course, will be game-time decisions. We'll see how things turned out after practice here and find out how these guys are doing. But it was definitely good to have them back out there, no doubt."



Belichick was not asked to specify which players would be game-time decisions.



In the locker room Friday afternoon, Meriweather was asked if there should be any concerns with his foot. He played every snap last Sunday against the Dolphins, but missed practice Wednesday and Thursday.



"I hope not," he said. "I came out and practiced today and had fun doing it. I hope everything falls into place like it is supposed to."
