For anyone attending the game tomorrow night, have a great time cheering the Pats on to victory. But please be smart. Hypothermia and frostbite are serious considerations when spending any amount of time in these conditions.

Dress warmly, wear many layers, and don't leave any exposed skin. Most importantly, be aware of the early symptoms of hypothermia and frost bite...... as soon as you notice yourself or your buddies exhibiting them, get someplace warm (the bathrooms might be a good idea) right away. Everyone really needs to take this $hit seriously.

If you are moving fast enough (like skiing or riding a motorcycle) you would have to worry about it, but not if you are stationary. You could easily get frostbite though. The rule is to have someone look you over for signs of frostbite frequently, white or gray patches on your cheeks, and you keep an eye on them. I would try to cover as much as possible. Your nose & cheeks, fingers, toes and ears are the most critical. Your eyes will be fine. You definitely need to be smart about it being in those temps for several hours. If you start feeling like your face is too cold to talk properly you need to be concerned. If you can't feel your fingers or toes you probably already have at least the beginnings of frostbite.

Just make sure that you don't accidentally turn on your ceiling fan so that the windchill drops down to 65 in your family room ya pansy.

Just a little hint...when you pull off of Rte 1 onto the access road, get immediately all the way to the left. You'll see the entrance within 100 ft or so.

North Texas is in that bizarre weather pattern that happens about this time each year. Last Friday was 78 degrees. By Tuesday the high temp was 35 with a low of 16. Needless to say, my kids are sick like everybody else here.
