My personal Vendetta against CIGARETTE BUTTS!!!!! (A very LONG Rant)

I would just put this in the "Pet Peeve" thread, but this goes beyond just being a pet peeve. What I want to discuss is something that absolutely makes my blood boil. I am talking about CIGARETTE BUTTS!

Now, let me clarify something. I don't care if you smoke. Smoke Up, Johnny! For all I give a schittt you can die of lung cancer by the age of 30 if that's what you want to do to yourself. If you want to turn your teeth yellow, embed that cigarette smell into everything you own and are, and develop Emphysemia, COPD, Lung Cancer, and Bronchitis to die a slow and painful death- be my guest! If having parts of your face removed due to cancer and having a permanent stoma in your throat so that the only way you can talk is with a vibrator- Go For It! Smoke up, Johnny!! I mean it! Just don't blow that second hand smoke in my face or I am going to spit right back in yours.

OK, to my point now......You wanna know what really Grinds my Gears?

WHY.......................THE FHUCKKK..................MUST YOU throw your cigarette butts on the ground?!?!!?!?!?!? Just because you are done with your cigarette, you think it is your right to just throw it anywhere you want? I can't go ANYWHERE without seeing dozens, maybe HUNDREDS of Butts strewn all over the ground outside of doors, inside parking lots, in flowerbeds, gardens, mulch, and crushed rock. They're EVERYWHERE!

Do you think that they will hit the ground and dissapear? Do you think they will break down into dirt instantaneously? Do you think that some Cigarette butt Fairy goes around and picks up your nasty litter?

Nahhhhh......you just don't care, right? Frankly, you are SICK and TIRED of being treated as some kind of outcast because you smoke, right? You aren't breaking the law by any means.....yet you get dirty looks, sin taxed up the ass, and forced to smoke in a tiny postage stamp sized area 2 miles away from where you work or want to eat, right? "Dammit- I'm being treated like a child, so I am going to act out and rebel by littering my cigarette as the last act of a desperate smoker!"

Or......maybe you're just a slob? Maybe you're just the type of Asshole who doesn't give 2 shits about littering, recycling, or doing ANYTHING to help make your city/town a better looking place and also do your part to not blatantly detroy the Ecological system? Maybe you JUST DON'T CARE.

In any case, it is something that absolutely drives my up the wall. When I was in the Military, I refused to pick up Cigarette butts when I would have to clean up areas. My sister recently stayed with is for a while and after a few days I went outside and nearly lost my MIND when I saw all the Butts in my driveway, on my lawn, and in my mulch. I had my nearly 20-year old sister outside of my house at 1030 at night with a flashlight picking up Cigarette Butts until EVERY ONE was gone! She was obviously pissed off, but she got the point...........I haven't seen one single Butt since then on my property!

Anyhow- If you've made it this far, maybe you can help me out. Am I being obsessive compulsive? Is something wrong with me? Is this completely normal, or is it way out of bounds? perhaps you can also share your anger with me. Do you just dismiss it and pick 'em up? If you're an offending Butt-Litterer, maybe you can give me some insight to what makes you tick?

Well I usually put it in the ashtray when there is one. I mean I can't really throw a cigarette butt in the trash.

If I am at someone's house outside I do find it rude to throw your butts on their lawns or property ESPECIALLY if they don't smoke. I get myself a cup or some kind of ashtray to put them in.

And my teeth are not yellow I take pride in keeping them super clean. But I agree about the stink. I can honestly say I hate the way I smell after smoking. My hair my clothes it's not nice especially when I am obsessive about making sure I smell good. One day I'll give these up for good but til then I will be sure not to throw any butts at you

The ones that irritate me the most are the ones who flick them out their car windows while driving. Dude, your car is already F'd up from the smoke. It's not going to help by flicking the butt out the window.
