Celtics Game 6
OK. The game isn't until tomorrow night.

But I'm lucky enough to be going (sitting somewhere in the balcony), and am very focused on it.

Issues:

1. Will Perk be back?

2. If so, will he be at full speed?

3. Will the cross-country travel and quick turnaround lead to a sloppy game (a la game 3)?

4. Will the older Cs be impacted adversely by the travel as compared to the younger, and criminal, Lakers?

5. Will the Cs feel some pressure now that they let the Lakers off the mat?

6. Who will be in the rotation? Since Doc is constantly changing this, who the hell knows?

7. Who is going to win? I say Boston. My pre-series pick was Boston in 6, so even though I thought Boston would win last night, I'm still good with my original pick.

Crap, I'm really jacked for this.

Speaking of Laker criminals, what's the deal with Odom -- something about him just really rubs me the wrong way. Is he generally considered a dirty player? I know he was suspended twice for drug use and there was some kind of scandal when he was at UNLV, but he just really seems shady to me.

College
In 1997, Odom attended University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) and was enrolled in summer classes. Following an academic scandal, an NCAA inquiry found Odom received payments amounting to $5,600 from booster David Chapman.[3] Coach Bill Bayno was fired and UNLV was placed on probation for four years. NBA career

Los Angeles Clippers
Odom declared his eligibility for the 1999 NBA Draft after his freshman year at the University of Rhode Island in 1999. The 6 foot 10 inch forward was selected by the Los Angeles Clippers with the fourth overall pick.[4] In his first season with the Clippers, Odom averaged 16.6 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game and was named to the 2000 NBA All-Rookie First Team.

Odom was involved in controversy in November of 2001 when he was suspended for violating the NBA's anti-drug policy for the second time in eight months.[5] It is generally accepted that Odom's suspension was for use of marijuana, which is not subject to the NBA's harsher "Drugs of Abuse" rules. At the time, he tearfully owned up to smoking marijuana.[5]

He was then a free agent and was acquired by the Miami Heat in the off-season.

So Game 6 is coming and the Celtics looked poised to bring home the championship. I wonder if John Tomase will write a story in tomorrow's Herald accusing Paul Pierce of cheating or something.
