Takeo Spikes Officially a Bill

Not that it is any surprise, but the Bengals did not match the offer. Is it possible that the AFC East could actually be an even closer race this year? We need to do something to separate from the pack.

Yes and no.

The Bills have also brought on Dick Lebeau as Assistant Head Coach who may not have done much as a head coach with the Bengals from '01-'02 but has been in the league forever and most of it as a defensive coordinator with a variety of teams including the Steelers, Eagles and Green Bay.

I agree, Jerry Gray could make Urlacher ineffective, but Lebeau was Spikes D-coordinator (before he was head coach) at Cincinnati. I think they should get better on the defensive side of the ball. They actually were not bad defensively before Sam Cowart left for the Jets.

Spikes is one of the last guys you want to see coming into your division. We don't see much of the Bengals but I've seen enough of this guy to last for a while. Now twice every year. Ugh.

I don't think losing Price will hurt them all that much. That kid from LSU (can't think of him) can really play and they get a 1st rounder to boot.

The Bills are having a pretty good offseason I'd say.

Oh, for the love of God! As if it wasn't bad enough facing the Finz potent D twice a year, now Buffalo is actually assembling a defense!

The AFC East is, in my opinion, becoming the best division in football. The Pats need to get off their keeshters and get some defensive playahs (not players) on the roster or the stampede against the Pats run D will just continue next season.
