The Oakland Raiders reached agreement with free-agent wide receiver Javon Walker on a stunning six-year, $55 million deal that includes $27 million in the first three years, including $16 million guaranteed, reports NFL Network's Adam Schefter.

That's an awful lot of money to pay someone that didn't play in half the games last year. Just another reason why the Raiders are a bad franchise.

Now I've always like Walker's game, but that sounds like CRAZZZZY money for a WR who IIRC has already had 3 knee surgeries and could barely run onto the field at the end of the season.

Not to mention, Walker's been known to suffer from "Mad Wide Receivers Foot-In-Mouth Disease" in the past as well, meaning he should really shore up the Raiders locker room.

p.s. Colvin needs to get his ass onto a plane to Oakland NOW before the money's gone!

THIS is why the Oakland Raiders are a perennial joke. Paying that much money for Walker? I know they lost Porter, but give me a break. I guess if they want a guy, they are going to have to pay a big time premium since no one in their right mind wants to be a Raider.
