OT The snowblower appreciation thread

Well I just came in from another 2 hours of snow removal. While I was doing that I thought that I have never said thank you to my snowblower.

It has worked as much this year as the last 4 combined. It has lost parts but has always been there for me. Sure I give it new spark plugs, change it's oil, and feed it new gasoline. But, I have taken it for granted.

Without it my two wiener dogs would not have a place to run and pee-pee and poo-poo. Without it I wouldn't be able to have the driveway and walkway I have. My back would be in traction without it.

Now you people in the south or far west may think it's silly. But, you people in the Northeast know what I'm talking about.

When was the last time you said "thank you" to your snowblower. Maybe you should before it's too late.

I can't shovel snow due to medical restrictions, so I absolutely need a functional snow blower to survive. I bought a pretty big Husqvarna 3 years ago and the thing is a godsend. It's a beast and will throw deep slush and cut through the cement snow at the end of the driveway (120 feet).

Funny thing is the reason I bought the Husqvarna is because I tried my best to get to the Pats/Miami snow bowl game by using my old 5 horse piece of shit snowblower and it just wouldn't clear the snow, so I swore "never again".

That was a thousand bucks well spent. I write it love letters and epic poems.

We used to have a snowblower. Then my grandfather lost 3/5 fingers in it. He had them reattached, but I guess it just kinda freaked us out. Now the good ol' shovel is all we use.

I just pulled the started cord right off of mine before finishing my third stint of the night so I had to throw the snow over the 10 foot plus snowbanks...I am a little hurting ghit now..there is not enough Gatorade in my house...

I have a nearly brand new snow blower sitting in my store room probably never to be used again (unless someone moving up north from this area happens to buy it). But damn it, if we ever get 8 or more inches of snow in this area, I'll be a hero.

I don't think you can get snow blowers in the UK (even Wales and Scotland). I wouldn't know what one looks like. I noticed that you lot have lots of words for different kinds of snow (cement snow, deep slush, mashed potoato).

I just went all the way to Gothenburg in Sweden and STILL no snow.
