Is this a good deal?

Is there still a train to and from Foxboro or would I have to sober up to drive home?

I just noticed that the game is actually 11/12, not 12/12!

The Exeter Association of New England invites alumni, alumnae, parents and their families and friends in New England and the greater New York City area

First, the game is November 12th, not December 12th.

Those tickets are $75. I'm not sure a luncheon buffet, Gameday magazine, etc are worth $225. The open bar is promising, but there aren't very many who can drink that much alcohol in 2 hours. It doesn't say if parking is included (a $35 value per car).

Some (Roadgrader) would argue that the cheerleader appearances would be worth $225.

apparently the train ARRIVES at 12:05 - so if I took the train I would miss out on the open bar. is it possible to get really loaded before the game and then sober up while watching it? (I have never seen a game live and usually get loaded during the game while watching on TV).

Maybe I could do an experiment first with a televised game. Do a lot of heavy drinking on a Sunday morning, then sober up while watching a 1:00 game.

I'll help you with your experiment thomas, as I know a little something about this kind of activity.

we could start with mimosas at 8:00AM so you get your vitamin C in right away while working on a good buzz-base after 3 or 4 of these babies. (the 1st one usually goes down like a shooter) The type of champagne doesn't matter because we both won't be that awake to know the diff at that point.

then we move right into the Bloody Marys. 12oz glass, 6oz Absolute, 3cubes, V8 juice to top and then pepper&celery salt. yum. usually 2 of these by 9:00AM and then it's on to the lagers.

doesn't matter what brand we have as long it is the kind you can hold down easy. I recommend a keg o' something.

maybe you PM me with your address and we'll setup a date convenient?

The way I look at it, if you're going to spend $300 on this, you might as well spend another $100 and rent a limo for the ride there. You could still take the train back home. This way you could have mimosas in the limo on the ride up, and be ready for the open bar when you arrive at the Razor.

I took the train in for the Colts game last year and by the time we got off the train and walked to the stadium and all the way up to the 300 sections, it was kickoff time. So there is no time for anything but getting to your seat.
