Worried???

Guys,
Is it just me or is anyone else worried about the fact that the pats have lost A LOT of good, solid, experienced players for this season!!!

I know they signed the rookies but they are as of yet unproven.....

Not to mention the loss of Vinitierri, mr reliable himself

Just Wondering...

No too worried with another Mr Reliable still behind center. You know the guy in your avatar. Also Not too worried because the Pats are still coached by one Mr. BIll Belichick.

We also have Mr Seymour and Mr Bruschi on D.

Not too worried yet although if Mr Branch doesn't come back by seasons opener then I'll start to worry... but only a little.

Perhaps a bit concerned but not worried. It still early we're sitting with 10 mill in cap room and we'll be getting back a lot of the wounded from last season. Relax and drink the kool-aid

True, I agree, but the fact that the colts have signed Vinatierri & a few Defensive Players Means, Unfortunatly that they Seems that they will be the Team to Beat!!!

I Hope im wrong but they are the bookies favourites aswell:(

They are every year....that should tell you something about how much those bookies know. We had Vinnie last yr and we still lost to the colts so i don't see what bearing he has on this. If we don't play better on defense this season he wouldn't have made a difference anyway. We need to be better on the inside and in the secondary or we'll be so far behind the 3 point FG won't help us. My major concern right now is getting Branch into camp.

#1Patsfan_chica is an unknown quantity at this point
I'm concerned because the Pats lost a guy with leadership and Mr. Big plays in Willie, a great kicker in Adam, and a weapon in the offense in Givens. Also, Branch's contract has not been resolved. It seems the Pats are going to relie in unproven guys.

the colts will never ever ever ever ever win a playoff game with Coach Dungy, BIll Poilian and good old Peyton :littleannoyingspoofingguywhoisadlycouldnotfindont helistofsmiles: Manning

that said i need 2 back get back 2 the topic.

Givens. pfft aslong as Branch stays he is well replaced, porberly upgraded with Caldwell AND Chad Jackson.

WillieMac tho not so happy about.
hoping for Chad Brown or Monty Bisel to really step up this year so Vrabel can go back to OLB.

but no i am not worried at all.
AV is no bid deal, look at the statsfrom 03 to 05

50+yds 0-4
2xps missed
30-39yds 20-35
40-49yds 20-36

i think that we can replace that with out rookie (don't wanna try spell it)
in clutch situations i.e superbowl 36 i wud much happier with vina taking the kicks tho

p.s i think the 30-39 and 40-49 attemts are 10 2 high

Sorry to break the news to you Chef, but they have won 3 I believe to date. Their record is now 3-6 IIRC. Resident Colts fans correct me if I'm wrong on that please.

they killedd pitt. in the reg season game
but in post-season they can't win even with the ref (the polamanu pick and the false start/offside play with no penalties at all)
can't believe they r so bad in post-season

b.t.w next year the colts either lose Peyton (really really really doubt it) or Dwight Freeny, cause they not gonna have the money 2 get em both on the team, personaly i wud actully take Dwight, trade Peyton 4 a mediocre QB who doesn't choke

My respect for Don Banks at SI went up a bit when he made the following statement

Quote:
When New England failed to re-sign any of its top three free agents this offseason -- kicker Adam Vinatieri, linebacker Willie McGinest and receiver David Givens -- the pundits (me included) spent much energy speculating on the degree to which the Patriots' talent drain would affect their win-loss record.

But in reality, a little perspective is in order. Only five Patriots -- those three plus guard Joe Andruzzi and linebacker Roman Phifer -- who started in New England's Super Bowl XXXIX win over Philadelphia in February 2005 are no longer with the team. That's not exactly a mass exodus, folks.
