If you're suggesting he didn't trust Sessions to appoint someone who would do a proper investigation, then two points.

1) Why didn't he fire his ass sooner and appoint Barr?

2) If Barr isn't someone Trump can trust, and so by default neither can he trust Durham, then the investigation is meaningless and that makes the idea that Rogers retirement has anything to do with the Durham investigation even more ridiculous.

If you mean Rogers, why would he instigate any type of investigation? How was it his role to investigate any other branch of government.

Unless....

He went to a member of Congress, got coached on his statement, got the whistleblower regulations modified to facilitate his accusation, and then.........

Naw, couldn't happen, too far fetched.
My question was a simple one and Dwight didn't seem to have any trouble figuring out who and what I was referring too. If you still haven't figured it out it was Trump I was referring too.

Trump likely knew he was being spied on. Once elected it was a deliberate process to sift through the swamp, make connections, and figure out who he likely could trust. Takes time. But the benefit of that time was he likely figured with each passing day they were digging their own graves deeper.

I have found it a best practice to not assume that what ever I thought someone meant, must in fact be exactly what they meant. Especially at a message board.

I don't know how many flame wars have started with
"You said X!"

"No I didn't, where?"

"When you wrote Y!"

"Don't put words in my mouth! I said Z!"

"Liar!"

"Bastage!"
So if there is a possibility of misunderstanding, I ask if I understood correctly.

If my question offended you, I am sorry for that.

If someone reply's to me with a response that doesn't seem to express what I intended to say, I typically respond with a "I must not have been clear. What I meant to say was ..." and try to clarify my post.

I make no pretense to be a Lincoln or Churchill with my prose, and fully accept that I am not always clear.

IMHO, if we all did a little bit of both of those, ask if we understood the other's words, and accept that we might have not been as clear as we could have been, if others misunderstood what we tried to say, a whole bunch of angst in this country would go away.

My bad. I didn't recall if the bold was from me or not.

Regarding why Trump waited, having thought about it a bit, IMHO, he had to wait as long as the Mueller investigation was on going.

As long as Mueller was investigating him on the Russia collusion kerfuffle, starting any kind of investigation into the origin of said investigation would have created a major political shit storm with the Dems/Media.

That almost certainly would have been portrayed as an attempt at obstruction of justice by the usual suspects.

So, it was politically shrewd to wait till after Mueller finished the collusion investigation, before pursuing the origin investigation.

Had he done that, the impeachment would have happened a lot sooner I believe.

He was pissed. I remember him saying something to the effect of this case being dropped because of a looming bigger easier to convict case. Durham? Hopefully.

yeah, that seems to be what's starting to circulate. Maybe Brennan is going down? I'll let McCabe walk for that one.
