Please, please, please make this so! Rob anywhere else would be tough, but paired with his brother? OMG would the further dismantling of that shit bag of a team be fun to watch.

Quick question, If Rob gets a DC job, which of the brothers gets a HC gig first?

Rob won't go with Rex. The Jets already are promoting Dennis Thurman.

But it would be epic, wouldn't it? Just the thought of it makes me all tingly.

Why not? It's not that it would or could be the only dink in the armor.

That and the not insignificant fact that Rob Ryan has been DC in the league for 9 years and none of his teams have a winning record.

And the fact that Rex didn't hire him when he was available a few years ago. I'm guessing Rex has no interest in hiring his brother. Bummer. Would make for great theater.

Cowboys fire Rob Ryan; DC proclaims 'I'm too damn good'

Jarrett Bell, USA TODAY Sports10:34p.m. EST January 8, 20130 CommentsShare

Rob Ryan is the first high-profile casualty from another non-playoff season for the Dallas Cowboys as the defensive coordinator was fired Tuesday after two seasons, the team confirmed to USA TODAY Sports.
"I inherited a team that was 31st in the league in defense and made them better," Ryan told ESPNDallas.com. "I (expletive) made them a hell of a lot better. I'll be out of work for like five minutes."
Ryan's 19th-ranked unit was ravaged by injuries, missing five starters when it was shredded for 200 rushing yards by Alfred Morris in the season-ending loss at the Washington Redskins that settled the NFC East.

After that game, the boisterous Ryan hinted that he might not be back. He told the Dallas Morning News on Tuesday that he's content with the Cowboys' decision.
"I enjoyed my time here. I have no hard feelings," Ryan said. "But it doesn't matter if I coach here or not. I will find another spot. I'm too damn good.''

Wonder if Mike Woicik made Ryan kiss his rings?

I see that modesty is a Ryan family trait.
