Early in Tom's career nobody was throwing 50 td's in a year. I think he lead the afc in 2002 with 28. The passing movement took over after the colts cried, and also later on when they changed how defenses play. Greatness to me is not about stats, its about consistency. Watching Brady in the 03 superbowl vs Carolina, that is great to me.

Now we have a league full of inconsistency and bullshit. Would much rather it go back to the way it was before. Absolutely canít stand the way the league is.

The funny thing is..... when people say they understand the rules lmao. The friggin refs donít understand the rules. No way some fan does. I can look up the definition of pass interference but at the end of the day I donít know what gets called and what doesnít. Really wish they would change things.

Sorry that was somewhat off topic. But I needed to rant lol.

I definitely agree. Top 3 rule changes I'd like to see?

1. A catch is 2 feet down (or equivalent) with control of the ball, which means either moving it at all or it being stopped and in your hands. Subsequently losing control of the ball is a fumble. Full stop, no other BS involving football moves, surviving the ground, none of it.

2. OPI and DPI? Not a thing. Have fun, the only things impermissible are things otherwise impermissible, like helmet to helmet or facemask, which need to be penalties for safety reasons.

3. Ball spotting is done via telemetry data from chips in the ball, in combination with when the player is down reading from telemetry data from chips in his clothes. Thus there are no challenges to the spot because we're using the tech we have to make that not subjective bullshit.

Well said, I could get on board with that!

What would you do with the endzone touchdown? That also seems to be a rule that gets a bit confusing... Once you're in touchdown? Same as rule 1? There seems to be confusion when the player loses control of the football in the endzone. In the CFL here once that ball is in the end zone it's a touchdown, no bullshit of maintain possession or survive contact with the ground. You're in with the ball TD. Seems to be working pretty good.

Lmao, truth!

As Giant Octopodes said, I just wish they would let these guys play. The OPI, DPI gets so ridiculous at times and just ruins the game. Also, I don't care what anyone says but they definitely flag more when it's offensive play making teams. When it's two rough nasty defenses like usually the Steelers vs Ravens I swear they let them play it out a lot more which is complete bullshit. There should be no double standard. Some of my family is Seahawks fans and I watch some of their games. When Sherman used to play for the Hawks he would make a defensive play on a team like Baltimore or Philly and it would be fine.... He would make a play like that against a Packer receiver or Falcons receiver and he would be called. I can't be the only one that sees that.

So his over fluffery can be supported and thus excused.

If you can find even an IOTA of statistical evidence or film which supports Elway's status as a "legend of the game" or folks ranking of him as the goat it'll be the first I've seen.

Elway the GM is much worse than Elway the player.

Shane Ray 14 sacks/49 gms. FA

Sylvester Williams On 4th team
Bradley Roby FA
DeMarcus Walker 2 sacks/13 gms
Cody Latimer NYG
Montee Ball Out of NFL

They are flat out shitty at ball placement, and it should be one of the easier things to do. I can see a inch here and there, but they miss it by a foot and a half at times.

Which is beyond pathetic because I watch my brothers team he coaches and they are 14 year olds. They have better ball placement than the NFL does.

End of the day there needs to be some consistency. You canít call a penalty because they hit a Peyton Manning or an Aaron Rodgers but not call it because they hit Big Ben or Rusel Wilson. I hate the Steelers donít get me wrong but there is some nasty late hits on Big Ben that arenít called and should be. This league shouldnít be about teams and players. There should be a rule book and itís followed end of story.

Now then Iím gonna watch Everybody Loves Raymond and go to bed.

The refs can change the point spread...and they have numerous times in the past. All you have to do is look at last years playoff game between the Rams vs Saints.

Agreed completely. I was disgusted by that.

Iím happy for you guys that the Pats won But I was so mad that we didnít get to see. Breeís Brady Super Bowl. Thatís a once in a life time. Refs took that away.

This. I never predict how hypotheticals might have worked out, but boy, would TFB have relished the matchup.

We all got to see Mahomes/Brady match up which was a better watch than Brees/Brady would have been so there's that.

Would have much rather Brees and Brady if that was a choice, much more interesting.
