Colts actually took 3 guys off the Ravens this past year (Redding, Zbikowski, and McKinnie) so it's not unprecedented for Pagano to poach their roster.

It's just that this year they'll have a ton of cap space, so they can actually afford some higher talent.

He just outplays the defender so well....I have not seen anything like that in awhile...Just throw it up and he makes a play.

I don't know if I've ever wanted to see the Patriots sign a FA as much as I want to see them sign Ed Reed. If I'm Kraft or BB I'd be waiting at his front door the day free agency starts, checkbook in hand.

If we elect to go the FA route, I think my top choice would be Kenny Phillips.

If he is healthy that might not be a bad choice. I wouldn't mind seeing both of them signed (smokes pipe).

We do need a good ball hawking safety to play next to Mccoutry . Even with reed being old he is still one of the best cover & ball hawking safety in the league.

No need to sign them both. Then you're expending too many resources on the S position when there are other areas of glaring need (WR/DT/OT/OG).

I prefer Phillips due to age/cost. Reed would be a nice stopgap but he's getting up there and is a candidate to run headfirst into the proverbial wall (see: Lewis, Ray). Not to mention I wasn't particularly impressed by him in the Super Bowl.

You can make a case that Boldin is more important to them than Flacco, some of those stupid throws that he turned into great catches.

Good call on Phillips. He's a virtual clone of McCourty the way he grades out with PFF.

"Most hated?" The Patriots?

New England has a long way to go to reach that spot with the Steelers in the way.

If Reed does not resign with Baltimore (which is possible with the cap issues they face, and players such as Flacco, Boldin, McKinnie, Kruger, Ellerbe and Williams up for new contracts), I could see him playing for Belicheck. Bill has a serious mancrush on Reed for sure.

But watch Reed closely. He doesn't really tackle anymore- he just pops people. He has had neck issues for years that has changed his game.

I am not talking from a fan perspective. When players on a team talk about players on another team even in weeks they are not playing them, then I would say there is some hate there.

Oh, there is some, no doubt. But nothing like the visceral hatred the Ravens (and their fans) have for Pittsburgh. Trust me on that one!

I want ED reed here . He still be a upgrade over the safety we have on the team. We hav not had a great ball hawking safety since Harrison left.

Having Ed Reed here would be the equivelant to having Rodney Harrison.. Knowledge, intensity, and teacher...
