Heartbreak city for the NFL...she prefers soccer to football. That's what she said on the pregame interview of her before MNF on ESPN. I hope you guys heard her when they asked her about all the things she is thinking when she runs. She sounded like a veteran RB. It was awesome.

Gordon scored 35 touchdowns and rushed for 2,000 yards this season. She also made 65 tackles on defense. That’s right. She. Gordon is a 9-year-old girl. Gordon was also a guest on ESPN’s Monday Night Countdown show before the 49ers beat the Bears at Candlestick Park. She was asked if it was difficult playing a sport dominated by boys. “At first it seems really hard to do it,” Gordon said. “But when you get into it, it becomes really fun. And everybody is just like, ‘Wow, that’s a girl.’” Gordon makes most of her yards as a running quarterback. She also explained her running philosophy on the show. “I am basically just looking for that hole, seeing if the blockers are making the block,” Gordon said. Frank Gore could not have said it any better. So will Gordon become the first female to play major college football one day? Not likely. When asked whether she likes football or soccer better, she answered, “I would say soccer.” |
