I say rest him out. If the Sox can make it past the spankees without him, then maybe he'll be available for the Series. If not, life sucks that way.

A couple things....

I hate the Yankees, but I like Joe Torre very much. Hearing his post game press conferences always make losses to the MFYs a little easier to take. He's a class act. He lashed out at MLB, calling it shameful that they are promoting this series over and over again with the ugly fight that broke out between the players earlier in the season. Joe brings things into perspective, making me realize it is after all, a game. Torre is the ONLY thing I like or respect about the Yankees.

The Who's Your Daddy chant had me wishing to see a sharp foul ball hit a Yankee fan square in the face causing disfigurement.

Schilling is hurt. No question. He maxed out at 91mph and had no thrust. He should not have pitched.

Grady Francona.

Just wait to hear the Daddy chants tonight w/ Pedro going.

Ortiz.... 2 feet... tie game. Not.

Matsui - lefty with 4 RBI's - Timlin, righty. Myers - warm in the pen. Grady Francona.

MFY's are now Tim Wakefield's Daddy. I hate the Yankees.

Mike Mussina was brilliant. I have to give him credit. I thought he was going to no-hit the Sox and I almost resigned myself to this. During the 6th, I thought "hey if the Sox are going to lose game 1, they might as well get blown out and no-hit at the same time."

I hate the Yankees. May the weiner vendors in the Bronx sell approximately 50,000 hot dogs tonight........ tainted with E-Coli.

You know what I realized last night? I realized that anyone that puts on that uniform suddenly becomes and obnoxious a-sshole that I immediately wish the worst on. The coniption fit that Sheffield took after scoring in the 1st inning really rubbed me wrong. And A-Rod is just a complete jerk now. I used to like both of these guys, now I think they're both a couple of pricks.

And oh yeah, I too hope that ALL YANKEE FANS eat something that makes them sick to the fringe of death..........but don't actually die. It just takes them about a month to recover from the mystery sickness. I know it's cruel, but I'm cruel sometimes.

And here we go again with the ump. Ya know, I'm normally loathe to complain like that, but this is BS. Lieber got that exact same pitch twice in the top of the first.

What the HELL is going on with this Red Sox lineup? They've only made Lieber throw 45 pitches thru 5 innings!! First pitch fly outs. 2 pitch at bats. This is ridiculous. This is totally the opposite of everything this team has done for most of the season to win games. They are making Lieber look like an ace - they should be shelling this guy or at the very least making him throw a lot of pitches. This is BS.... they worked this hard all season to go swinging like a pack of idiots in the LCS. They're killing me.

And Pedro is nearly almost to 90 pitches. This is a loss, I can feel it. And if we lose tonight, the show is over folks. This Offense has been an absolute joke...**** when they came back, so if Pedro gets shelled for 6 are you gonna come back for 5? HIT LIEBER! HE IS NOT FREAKING CY YOUNG OUT THERE! This Offense needs to atleast be productive. Just ****ing pathetic!

Pedro's pitching GREAT. Just give him a run, and he'll keep the Sawx in the game tonight, it seems to me.

4 more at-bats, right?

Whoa...hold your horses.....we have a bullpen battle coming up.

This thing could be 8-7.

Would anything surprise you?

"Over??Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor??"

This series is far from over. Feel free to hop off the bandwagon though as less people at the bar equates to faster drink replacement!!!

It doesn't take much of a swoon to pry the feable off the wagon. So long.

Sox in Six.

I'm trying desperately to keep the faith, but I must admit I pretty much changed the channel after the 5th inning last night (with periodic checkups after).

The Sox weren't bothering trying to play the game that got them where they are. How many of the first 5 innings' worth of batters took off after the first or second pitch. You could see it in the swings, they were trying to have an explosive inning rather than just play ball like they've done for the last couple of months. If you get the big inning, all the better, but you can't aim for it.

I won't say it's over, but the fat lady is starting to warm up. We're gonna need some impressive turnaround (including sweeping in Boston) to have an honest chance. And no chance if they keep trying to wait until Gordon and Rivera to do something.

Take heart Bostonians, the series now moves to your house. In your heart of hearts, did you really think you were gonna take this series without losing even 2 games? That's all you've lost so far, 2 games. It takes 4. The road is a little narrower, a little steeper, a little rockier, but it's still navigable! You said before the season began, this is your year. Suck it up! If the fans quit, can the players be far behind?

We're coming to your house, you can lay down and let us ravage your town, your house OR you can pull yourselves together and show us that we're in a dog fight.

I don't think this series is over by a long shot, so why should you?

We are always slapping each other around and wrestling and slap boxing and [messing] around with each other in the weight room. And so I decided to take that to the next level. And we were messing around in the quarterback room one day and he walked in with a milkshake, and I kind of put my foot by the door, and I kicked the door and the milkshake splashed up and went all over him. So he sat down, and I was laughing. So I said give me the towel, because I wanted to clean up the wall. So I threw the towel at his face, and it had shake all over it. He had a little shake in his mouth and he spit it all over me.

Some of us Sox fans just woke up with a little bit of a hangover today. No worries......once the initial sting of being down 2-0 subsides, RSN will rise again. Back to Fenway Friday and a very consistent and confident Bronson Arroyo is taking the ball. All it takes is one win to shift the momentum.

"And no one. I mean no one........comes into our house and pushes us around."
