It was initially done in reaction to the Sullivans and Kiam's bologna sandwiches (although in the Sullivans defense, virtually EVERYONE associated with the team or the stadium got an AFC Championship ring). And over time, it's proven to be a small investment that has gone a long way - much like having their own plane.

Young players on other teams talk a lot of shit, until they actually hear/see about how the Patriots operate.

Very true. I can somewhat understand that teams operated on a shoestring budget back in the 60's - 80's when teams were family owned and money was not limitless. But with the amount of money flowing through today's NFL, the vast wealth of all the owners, and the amount of money being spent on player contracts, there's no excuse not invest in the "small" things to keep those athletes happy and, more importantly, healthy.

It would be like buying a Lamborghini and putting donut tires on the vehicle.

10/9/19 for Week 6 (New York Giants)

I always love the game recap. The scenes on the sidelines are always interesting to watch.

They interviewed Ryan Izzo this week. Boy, does he look young! No wonder he's been a little shaky so far.

11/3/03: BB opts to deliberately take a safety, Tom drives for a TD, and Pats win over Broncos in Denver! Great look back.

I enjoyed the scenes of the trip to Israel. It must be quite a thing to stand where the Biblical stories took place.

My mother thought Izzo was a high school player. He's a true baby face.

He's only 23. He's played in 3 games; give him time.

10/1819 for Week 7 (New York Jets)

I was amused by Brandon Bolden's apparent indignation when asked a fantasy football question. Apparently not a fan!

The second segment on the trip to Israel showed ore sightseeing and two teams of Patriots coaching kids in a game. As was said, Robert Kraft is kind of Israel's Pop Warner. Football is in its infancy but appears to be gaining a foothold.

10/25/19 for Cleveland Browns

The defense was in the spotlight this week as Duron Harmon was interviewed and Stephon Gilmore was mic'ed up against the Giants a few weeks ago. No 'seeing ghosts' comment from him, though.

Speaking of ghosts, the best segment for me tonight was the recap of the JETE game. It was a celebration for a Pats fan!

The Halloween theme is always fun on this show.

A good Julian Edelman interview, and a long-ish look at Bill Belichick's 300th win. They showed his first NFL win as the Head Coach of the Browns, beating New England in Foxboro. Then we saw him receive game balls for his 200th win as coach of the Patriots and for #271, moving him to third on the all-time list. Finally, there was Kraft giving him the game ball for #300. Good shot by Kraft at the JETE by saying he was glad #299 had come against the Jets and #300 against the Browns. ;)

11/8/19 (Bye Week)

Mohamed Sanu was a good interview this week. He had an inkling of what it was like here, he said, but still was impressed with the scope of it all.

On Part 1 of Tom Brady's annual interview, he discussed the progress of Sanu and heaped praise on Julian Edelman (what a surprise! ).

Kind of a subdued episode with the loss to Baltimore, but no one's panicking.

Brady's saying that after all these years he knows what a championship team is could be taken either way but his tone sounded ominous.

Hmm, you could be right, but the Pats haven't looked championship-caliber in the past and have won the Super Bowl, so I still have hope!

You are absolutely correct. Last year comes to mind.
