Yeah. I think he may be done but he did put on a lot of weight. He reportedly is losing weight. So that can make a difference not to mention motivation. I could see Bill looking at him as our third corner maybe. We'll see.

What's worse, I wonder: a guy who runs slowly because he's lazy and isn't trying hard, or a guy who runs slowly because he's fat and out of shape?

Either way, I think I'll pass on Revis

If Revis is serious I'd imagine he's back in Arizona where McCourty & Co went out and worked out with him.

If yes, his numbers and film should be readily available for the team to see.

If he's back where he was take a flyer. If nothing else he's a camp body.

Here is a mock that I just saw on CBS Sports, that takes in consideration a Butler trade to the Saints.

2 41 CB Tre'Davious White from Cincinnati through New Orleans*
2 42 DE Tarell Basham from New Orleans*
3 72 OLB Raekwon McMillan from Carolina
3 96 CB Teez Tabor
4 131 OG Jordan Morgan from Seattle
5 183 DT Tanzel Smart
6 200 OLB Samson Ebukman from Indianapolis
7 239 WR Robert Davis from Detroit

There's been speculation the Patriots could trade Malcolm Butler to the Saints, but No. 11 is too high a price for New Orleans to pay, and the Patriots may want more than their original first-rounder back. Considering they're also down a second-rounder, a deal could make perfect sense if New Orleans trades back from No. 32, which they do in this draft. New England picks up back-to-back picks early in the second round for Butler, and the package is worth roughly the No. 17 overall pick.

I don't like losing Butler but I do like the first 5 picks in this mock.

Going from what I've read...
-White I like.
-42 seems high for Basham; Derek Rivers w/ 72 later on seems a better value.
-McMillan is a run stopper and can't cover. He's projected to be an ILB on run downs only in the NFL. Reminds me of Spikes. He's not an OLB.
-Teez Tabor should be long gone by 96; if he's there, take him.

My redo
41. White is a steal here or TE Evan Engram or OT Cam Robinson (for RT or either OG)
42. TJ Watt - OLB (ready to be molded) or Obi Melifonwu - SS (6'4" 224)
72. Derek Rivers DE or Jake Butt TE or Ethan Pocic OC 6'6" 310
96. Tabor if he's there he's a steal; David Sharpe OT to OG convert 6'6" 340 or Alex Anzalone OLB

It's funny that Jonathan Morgan showed up in this mock, because he's got some definite Patriot traits.

I can't say G is a huge area of need for us, but Morgan is one of those guys who will require a position switch from T (he's 6'3") and played at lowly Kutztown State but is a projected NFL starter with plus feet who should be available in the middle rounds. They say he performed very well at the Senior Bowl and didn't get pushed around by anybody. He's a dedicated worker who made himself into a player.

I think we really need a body or two to develop at OT, but there isn't supposed to be a whole lot available there in this draft. Morgan is probably somewhere on our radar screen.

Outside of him, I'm not nuts about this mock. White at 41 is plausible if he lasts that long.

REPORT: EVEN WITH LONG-TERM DEAL WITH SAINTS AGREED UPON, MALCOLM BUTLER LIKELY STAYING WITH PATRIOTS

04.24.17 at 10:48 am ET
By Ryan Hannable

Don’t expect Malcolm Butler to be going anywhere. (Michael Madrid/USA Today Sports)

The Patriots will likely have one of the best cornerback duos in the league next season.

According to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport, the Saints and Butler have agreed on a long-term contract that would make him among the highest-paid cornerbacks in the game, but all sides believe a trade is improbable at this point. The Patriots are said to be wanting more than the Saints are willing to give up.

Butler will now likely team up with Stephon Gilmore as the two corners in the Patriots secondary.

The 27-year-old visited the Saints as a restricted free agent, but the Patriots control his rights since he signed his tender and thus control where he goes.

Of course it’s still possible a deal happens if the Patriots lower their demands or the Saints change what they are offering, but at this point it doesn’t seem like a deal will be happening.

If he's right, this is the good news I've been hoping for (and expecting).

Yet another source
Cornerback Malcolm Butler likely staying with Patriots
11:14 AM ET
ESPN.com news services

It is highly unlikely that cornerback Malcolm Butler will be traded from the New England Patriots this offseason, sources confirmed to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Butler signed a one-year, $3.91 million tender with the Patriots last Wednesday, which means New England has the opportunity to trade him.

Malcolm Butler has retained the same approach and attitude to work even though he skyrocketed to fame after Super Bowl XLIX. George Gojkovich/Getty Images
Butler, who was a restricted free agent, had previously not signed the tender in hopes that another NFL team might sign him to an offer sheet before last Friday's deadline. He visited one team, the New Orleans Saints, earlier in free agency.

The Saints didn't plan to sign Butler, 27, to an offer sheet, but at the NFL's annual meetings in March, coach Sean Payton seemed to hint that the club could be interested in a different scenario.

If Butler had signed an offer sheet with the Saints and the Patriots didn't match, the Saints would have had to surrender their first-round pick in the 2017 draft (11th overall) to New England.

EDITOR'S PICKS

Sources: Pats still planning to keep Garoppolo
The New England Patriots have no intention in trading backup quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, league sources told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.
The Saints have three picks in the top 42 selections of the 2017 draft and likely can find a cornerback to fill their need with one of those picks.

The MMQB first reported that Butler is likely staying with the Patriots.

The Patriots and Butler's representatives had discussed a contract extension last offseason, and some involved in the negotiation believed a deal was close to being struck. But things were never finalized, and Butler played out the 2016 season on a base salary of $600,000 in the final year of his deal.

In addition to Butler, the Patriots are not expected to trade backup quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo this offseason, and he is expected to go to training camp with them, league sources told Schefter.

ESPN's Mike Reiss and Mike Triplett contributed to this report.

How do the Saints make Butler the highest paid CB in the game, with only $7,000,000 in cap space? Sounds as if that is just smoke.

But, I'm happy if Butler stays. However things could change with him or Jimmy on draft day. If the 1st round ends without a trade then I'll take it to the bank.

Backheavy contract. Gilmore is fairly soft on the cap for us in 2017.

Rumors of AP heading to the Saints. If so Butler is not going there.
