Agree.

In fact, itís just dumb.

Y’all can hold out hope for Harry, but I’m not. Yeah injuries are a part of it. Presumably he’s had time to study while not practicing. Maybe he turns into the second option in the red zone, but he’s slow, doesn’t seem to use his size, and is probably always going to be injured or at least banged up. His ceiling is a career like Sanu, and yes I’d call that a bust at the end of the first. Plus I I’ll be honest. The kid says the right things but his tone and body language just screams being way to cocky for the limited production he’s had. Drafting this guy in the first was a huge mistake.

And I don’t care if he’s a good blocker on screens. You don’t draft a guy in the first because that’s his best attribute.

Whoa. Let me try and back you off that ledge. First of all, he's not slow. He doesn't run a 4.35 40 so he's not going to run 9 routes 6 times a game like Moss but he does run a 4.5 40 which more than qualifies him for running every route from the slot or flanker position. You mentioned Sanu...for comparison, Sanu ran a 4.67 40. Sanu is slow.

Harry was known for doing a few things very well in college:
- a great hands catcher,
- a big physical player who uses his body well,
- great at winning contested catches and
- a guy who is fearless going over the middle.

Iow, he has attributes we're not seeing yet. Why? In the 3 games he's played, he's been lined up mostly outside out of necessity bc of Dorsett's concussion. That's not his best position; I'm sure Josh McD knows that. Plus the kid is thinking too much and not letting loose on the field. Put him in the slot or flanker position, let him acclimate to Brady and give him a dose of confidence and he should be a solid #3 WR at worst and a very good #2 WR at best. To me, his ceiling is Anquan Boldin when he plays inside and Dez Bryant when he plays outside.

FWIW, Harry was at the end of my draft list of 8 WRs for the Patriots. I had him as a 2nd round pick but 32nd is only 1 pick from the 2nd so big deal. Caserio said the Pats wanted him because of his physicality and because they placed high value on his contested catch ability. He wasn't drafted to be another Julio Jones or Michael Thomas. Let's give him a chance to show what he's got before chalking him up. I think he'll be fine.

I can't embed now but here's a short video of him

I hear ya. Sometimes I get way to negative. It’s just frustrating because we have seen nothing from this guy that’s shown he can contribute to a SB run this year. I feel like this team had bigger needs than drafting a guy in the first who’s ceiling is a very good number 2 option. I hope your right and I’m wrong about him, cause the offense needs him badly.

It’s been a long time since this team has made a good pick in the first.

For some odd reason the Pats didn't do a lot of stack/bunch formations with their WRs versus Houston.

I found that odd, because it's a technique Josh has employed in the past when we had trouble getting receivers open.

I want to see what Harry can do out of those and what he and Sanu could do to lead the way for some WR screens. Another thing that to me has (suspiciously) gone missing from the O.

I think we've been in vanilla mode for the last few weeks for various reasons and have seen this movie before. Josh McD has some arrows left in the quiver and we'll see them at some point.

I choose to believe that the passing game is not as bad as it has looked for the last month.

He absolutely needs to get better...no doubt. But, his rookie season so far has sucked ass so far. That much IS true.

Well he has only played a couple games, but I do think they are not using him right either. He is a good 50/50 ball guy and I have rarely seen him in that situation. I am sure some of that is just that he has not been able to practice much and I expect him to improve as the year goes.
