I know he said that. I simply don't care. The guy has busted his ass for 18 years and led the franchise to five Super Bowls. He deserves some slack.

I feel like we need Allen Iverson on this board.

We talkin' about OTAs. Not practice in pads, not training camp, not preseason. OTAs, man! OTAs!

So...Brady lied for the last 18 years? Is that what pretzel you and your camp is twisting themselves into to make this 'ok'?

What about Gronkowski? All those 16 GP+playoffs seasons completed gives him a pass too?

If Brady hadn't reiterated several times over the years how important OTAs are, and then comes up with excuses (via Kraft) that he needs 'family time', and then goes and golfs in LI with Phil Mickelson - maybe, maybe there would be something to this.

You may have been born at night, but it wasn't last night, right?

He lied? No. I think eating healthy and exercising is best for you, but if I dont do it one month than I am a liar about it being good? The thing is, the only thing you people know on why he is not there is what the media is feeding you.

Did Brady struggle at all when he was at mandatory OTAs? Nope. So let's calm the fuck down and set aside the irrational anger over him missing a few practices in helmets and shells.

It must be nice being a Brady fan, and not a Patriots fan. And I think that's why I understand why the Brady fans don't care.

"Why should Brady care about practice? He doesn't need to practice. He's got the offense down on lock."

Fact.

As a Patriots fan first, however, the question isn't Brady's mastery of the offense, it's him working with the dozen or so new teammates (including rookies), that have had him under center for about a day so far.

Who's going to yell at Sony Michel week 1 when he runs the wrong route? Would he have run the wrong route if that person had been in there in OTAs and Passing Camps, helping these players learn the offense, and making the team a more cohesive unit -as they have every year previous to this one.

So when Brady retires (and he will retire someday, I promise), who are you going to root for?

It's. Not. About. Brady.

Anyone who has a problem with him skipping out on OTAs doesn't think that Brady will be the one struggling as a result.

Or, you can just say that itís okay because itís a Michigan man saying this.

Heís contradicting himself in words and actions, but thatís okay with you.

It would be nice if you cared more for the laundry than what Michigan Man did. He showed that he was a hypocrite. Just own it, okay?
Thanks

Brady can do no wrong in your eyes then, right?

Brady, himself, doesn't need OTA's, but the young receivers who are going to be working with him do. Brady will be the first one to get us Uggs in a bunch when a Berrios or Matthews runs a wrong route. Considering how little time he has to get on the same page with the newbies, he's doing his team a real disservice by not being there to work with them.

IF, god forbid, Tom ever moves on to a different team, I see a few people who will follow Tom like the Colts fans embarrassingly did Peyton.

I am all for laundry first, players second.

It's not that Brady can do no wrong. Not even close to that. It also has nothing to do with Michigan. Thanks for those jump to conclusion mat assumptions.

I'm simply willing to give the greatest player in franchise history a bit of slack. If he feels he needs a bit more time off this offseason, so be it. He has earned it. I would feel the exact same way if Big Vince or McGinest did this when they were getting up there in years.

To be so pissed off about missing a few OTA practices, in 18 years, is insane to me.

Obviously, we'll never agree on this and you'll probably just keep making assumptions about why I don't care about this. That being said, I'm done with it. Moving on...

This is so stupid. Just because some people do not think that Brady is destroying the team does not mean they are just Brady fans. Edelman got popped for PDE's and literally they defended him and attacked Brady does that mean they are only edelman fans? Its really ok for people to disagree with players and what they do and dont do.

Without knowing reasons for things, its hard for me to pass blame off for things. This is not the first time in pats history someone has missed OTA's

After he himself, multiple times over the years, re-iterated how important OTAs were for the team, that it's what separates the Patriots from all the other teams, the work they put in, in OTAs.

So he needs a 'break', according to you, after not doing anything for 4 months after the Super Bowl, blowing off the first set of OTAs, showing up for the two days of mandatory OTAs, and then suddenly 'needs a break' again because, what, those three days of super-intensive light-toss in shorts wore him out? After 18 years of it not wearing him out.

Assumption: You're a Brady fan, not a Patriots fan.

And that's fine. Just own it. Middy refuses to own it because reasons.
