WAY over weight. Like "needs a rascal to get to his chair" fat. I can't imagine he'd survive the workload BB gives his staff.

The #Texans have hired a search firm and are going through the process of hiring a GM to replace Rick Smith, sources say. External names expected to receive interest: Nick Caserio & Monti Ossenfort (#Patriots), Brian Gaine (#Bills), and Brian Gutekunst (#Packers).

There are teams that want to interview Brian Flores for their open HC vacancies...

This surprises me. I thought no chance would Josh interview with Indy.

The Colts are interviewing Josh McDaniels tonight. He is a very, very strong candidate there. Pairing him with Luck could be potent

Josh will interview with the Giants on Friday. I think he will have his pick of where he wants to go. I would think the Giants would be enticing because he can take their top pick and get the QB of the future. Their overall roster is actually not that bad. They were decimated by injuries this year, a dope HC and Eli.

Stability is what Josh will look for first - ownership and front office management. Then he'll look at how patient a team is with new coaches. Josh doesn't want another Denver situation. Then he'll look at current personnel. Eli could be a bridge to a drafted QB or he could be gone with a FA signing such as a Kirk Cousins. Eli himself can't possibly be an enticing draw for McDaniels to go to the Giants. Gettleman will shop for the groceries because he's been doing it for almost 20 years and that's his job. He's worked hard for it. He won't let Josh make the draft picks. He'll listen to Josh respectfully but the decisions will be his and his alone. Gettleman has a strong personality.

I am not sure there is much difference between Gettleman and Ballard. Both are good GMs and both strong-willed so I see that as a wash. If you then go to owners there is no comparison between Mara and Irsay. Mara is the better choice by far. If you look at rosters, Giants roster is in much better shape than Indy and as you say Eli is a good transition to the next QB that they can draft this year with the #2 pick. Then you factor in Luck whose arm may be shot and I think Indy overall is very shaky in comparison to the Giants. But then of course the trump card is coaching in New York vs Indy (sorry Jaric).

Yeah I might regret this in 5 years, but I'm on board for McDaniels as HC. The two guys from KC also seemed intriguing.

Then of course, is BAE:
