I couldn't put this in the college thread so will put this here,,

Iowa did a number on Ohio State.

The QB for Iowa barely beat out whomever became his back up. Nathan Stanley is a sophomore. If he keeps playing like this would be a tremendous prospect.

That Oline looks darn good too.

Highlights, https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=BPa43GL9mBQ

Just watched the highlights. Great game. Iíll have to look further at this kid.

Throws excellent. Especially on the move. Very catchable balls.

Surprised that nobody mentioned Finley.....he looked pretty good vs Clemson on Saturday. I think the 2 INTs may have been an outlier as Clemson was an extremely tough opponent.

Just caught another nugget from the broadcast:

Mayfield started his career at Texas Tech as a walk on. Under Kliff Kingsbury, the kid we drafted as a QB. Sure there’s a line of comm there.

Two things:

I watched BC lose to NC State and that was the second time I've watched Ryan Finley. He looks like a prospect to me. Size, can move around the pocket and run pretty well, can fire the ball. I'd say he needs to improve a little at everything, but he's got pro starter potential, imo.

Also, I've decided that Sam Darnold (USC) is really just a fuzzy-cheeked kid and needs a couple of years for his body to mature, but, holy shit......this guy can throw a ball like you read about. For some reason he seems to have cooled off a little, but I expect he'll end up being the overall 1 whenever he decides to come out. In terms of pure arm talent he's one of the best in the last decade or so.

I don't remember a year when there were this many guys who look like they could be pros.

It’s been lauded for a while with Darnold and Rosen, but play of others have increased its depth significantly.

We SHOULD be able to land the true successor.

Which gives me the opportunity to pump the tires of this Mayfield kid again.

Following the is an impossible task. This kid has an incredible skill set, but that may be second to his drive. He is an absolute field general. Reminiscent of Favre for sure. Fiery. Go getter. Saw him stiff arm a tackler this week to the ground AND the second tackler trailing. SICK!!!

I love this kids makeup.

I know what you mean about Mayfield, but can you picture BB drafting him? I would guess he gets drafted before #25, based on the QB Kansas City picked up last year.

Wow. Drew's son looks just like him. I hope he can throw a football like his dad. Drew is really aging well and still as dreamy as ever.

Didn't Drew say once that his son was a huge Brady fan? Must have been nice for him to get a pic with him.

Heís tall.

Probably has a big arm.

Rockiní a Bs lid.

Drewís downfall was his time in pocket until release. Not unlike Ben. Thatís what stood out immediately with TB : 3-5-7 step drop and ball was out. It felt like Drew went through all his progressions. Twice.

Truly donít know.

Sure, heís the hands down flavor of the month right now. But once the season ends and evals start many many times actual on field production yields to solid production with prototypical size/arm strength. Heís missing that.

Couple that with teams with true QB openings considering the recent high pick investments they may have made and itís difficult to project where the prospects in such a deep QB draft will fall.

If it were me Iíd fittingly use that SF pick on him.
