So who is the QB in this years Draft that Bill is looking at?

Seriously, this is supposed to be a deep QB class and Bill has traded everyone on the depth chart at QB but Tom and Edelman, so what future Patriots QB are you looking at:

Mason Rudolph Oklahoma State
Josh Rosen UCLA
Lamar Jackson Louisville
Sam Darnold Southern California
Ryan Finley QB NC State
Baker Mayfield Oklahoma

or is it someone else?

Don't really know enough about these guys, Darnold is the only one I've seen play to this point, and he looked good enough that I don't think he's going to be available.

My early thought pre-season was Mayfield.

I think he is young, would make a good choice to sit on the bench and grow.

Saw some projections the other day that Rosen and Jackson both going in the top 3. But eh, not worth much at this time of year.

Baker Mayfield would be intriguing. It's clear that Brady is staying until his arm falls off, so he may not even take a QB within the first three rounds. At some point, Brady is going to have to agree to step aside and let them build for the future and not hold the franchise hostage like Favre did in GB

When you are winning and playing like a top 3 quarterback you are not holding your team hostage. That is kind of what a team wants from a QB. Maybe this subject should be held off until Brady actually starts to play like favre did late in his career.

Well, consider this-

SF has multiple needs...oh, let's say that something having 2 picks in the 30-35 range of the draft would be a strong start in addressing. Maybe, in conjunction with this, there is a can't miss stud prospect that BB covets that will be long gone by then...

I'm not even sure he will leave USC this year. My guess is he stays in school & takes out huge insurance policy just so he isn't drafted by the clowns. If he were my son that is exactly how I would handle it. No chance on this earth would I have him play for the browns.
