He has offered no evidence for his claim, and a parade of intelligence officials, senior Republicans and Democrats have since said they have seen no such evidence.

Yet the President clings to his assertion like a drunk to an empty gin bottle, rolling out his press spokesman to make more dubious claims.

The fact that the Trump administration is describing their former Campaign Manager as having played a 'limited role' in the campaign is hilarious.

Snare = tightening

EDIT- also, former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn is being described as merely as 'a volunteer on the campaign'.
lulz

House Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes said Wednesday that President Donald Trump's personal communications may have been picked up by investigators through "incidental collection."

Nunes said at a news conference he discovered the potential surveillance of Trump himself while reviewing intelligence reports, but said it was not related to Russia.
"This is a normal, incidental collection, based on what I could collect," Nunes said. "This appears to be all legally collected foreign intelligence under" the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act.

It was "incidental".

Naturally.

Just like the rest of us.

The questions and answers were very, very carefully worded, very specific denials. At least the parts that I saw.

It was like "No, the President did not order Trump Tower to be wiretapped."

If you read the words carefully, you'll see that it is some signifcant wordcraft.

I mean....you could throw in a "and Obama was unaware of any Trump Tower surveillance." or something like that. ALl we got was he didn't "order" it, a "wiretap" that is...but, you know...if his communications were caught up in NSA/CIA/GCHQ internet and telephone mass surveillance incidentally, you know....well...that's not really "ordering" Trump to be surveilled...and certainly he wasn't "wiretapped"...because we haven't used wiretaps in 30 years!

See?

...and then Nunes went to brief the White House...whom his committee is supposed to be investigating. This was not unnoticed.

Special Prosecutor incoming... people are having to go too far out on too many limbs to try and shield Trump.

I see it way different.

Too many people are having to go too far out on too many limbs to try and bring down Trump.

When incidental surveillance becomes intentional leaks then Trump is proven right.

The spin control is glorious though.

Carry on.

Nunes is in the tank. He will be removed, or at the least ensure an Independent Prosecutor. What he did today is shady as ****.

The leaks were to Nunes, apparently. He didn't seem as concerned as he did yesterday about leaks.
