This is a film about the Global Warming scam...it was just released and pretty much buries AL Gore's nonsense.
This is a movie, about an hour and a half long...

Here's an interesting thought:

supposedly, the 1300's were one of the warmest periods in the history of mankind...records indicate that crops were grown in places like Scotland and Greenland, places that are no incapable of supporting agriculture on any large scale based on climatic change.

Nova Scotia was famous for it's grapes. Greenland was named because of the vast expanse of green fields, much like today's Ireland.
The fact is, there are only 2 possibilities, the Earth is getting warmer, or it is getting cooler, because it is ALWAYS doing one or the other.

Interfaith group braves storm in climate change trek
By Adam Gorlick, Associated Press Writer | March 16, 2007

NORTHAMPTON, Mass. --As the world's warmest winter on record draws to an end with a weekend snow storm, a group of religious leaders started walking across the state Friday to bring attention to global warming.

The nine-day haul from downtown Northampton to Copley Square in Boston was planned far before forecasts called for a weekend of snow and sleet just a few days before the start of spring.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration reported Thursday that in the past century, global temperatures have increased at about 0.11 degrees per decade. But that increase has been three times larger since 1976.

The report comes just over a month after the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change said global warming is very likely caused by human actions and is so severe it will continue for centuries.

"God has given us this Eden, and our behavior is making a mess of it," said the Rev. Jim Antal, president of the Massachusetts Conference of the United Church of Christ, the state's largest Protestant denomination.

The religious walkers are part of Religious Witness for the Earth, a 6-year-old national interfaith environmental organization.

With most of its members based in the Northeast, it made sense for the group to walk in Massachusetts. About 1,000 clergy members are expected to take some part in the trek, which will include prayer and information sessions along the way before ending with a rally on March 24.

Not all the walkers are expected to make the entire journey. But synagogues and churches on their route will feed and shelter the multi-day hikers.

Many members of Religious Witness for the Earth have used their position from the pulpit to make their congregations aware of climate change.

"The interfaith aspect of what we're doing heightens awareness among everyone," said Rabbi Justin David of Congregation B'Nai Israel in Northampton. "Climate change is a moral issue and it's a collective issue. It transcends the differences of faith and politics and generations. This is something everyone needs to pay attention to."

That's right in line with this one:

Global Warming Propaganda Expedition Canceled Due to Cold

Trying to superimpose liberal dogma on reality can get you in trouble, as explorers Ann Bancroft and Liv Arnesen found out on a recent North Pole expedition intended to generate publicity for the Great Global Warming Swindle. The idea was to take photographs that could be used as propaganda polar bears on ice floes, penguins fanning themselves with their stubby wings, that sort of thing.

The expedition had to be called off after Arnesen suffered frostbite in three toes, and extreme cold killed the batteries in some of their electronic equipment. Temperatures fell below minus 100F.

Reports Ann Atwood, who helped organize the fiasco:

My first reaction when they called to say there were calling it off was that they just sounded really, really cold.
The pair irresolutely returned to Resolute, Canada, and from there to points farther south, where it's not so miserably cold.

After how high my gas bill was last month, I could stand for things to warm up quite a bit more.

It's f-cking amazing that this doesn't even phase the people who've convinced themselves that global warming just isn't happening.

I used to wonder what it would take for people to simply acknowledge the obvious. At this point I don't think anything would suffice.

And how long do you think those "records" have been recorded?

128 years

The mid 1800's is considered the end of The Little Ice Age, so why should it be surprising that temperatures have warmed after an unusually cold period.

Also, this winter was during an El Nino event which is known to raise the temperature in the Northern Hemisphere.

And the rate of increase of the temperature since 1976? Look at when the NAO shifted into a positive phase in my earlier post.

So forgive me if a high temperature from a 128 year data base, during an active El Nino, and a positive NAO don't convince me that there is something unprecedented happening to the Earth right now.

Is the earth warming?

Yes, the data does suggest that it is.

Does that mean man is the cause? No not at all. The Earth's climate has warmed and cooled countless times over its history without mankind emitting any CO2, so clearly it can happen all by itself.

The burden of proof lies with the AGW crowd to demonstrate that the present temperature change is due to CO2 and regardless of all the pronouncements by those who claim the "science is settled", that question has not been answered.

I've acknowledged there is evidence of climate change on the Earth, just like I've acknowledged there is evidence of climate change on Mars. I just happen to think it's likely that the cause of both is related, and I don't think it has much to do with man.

Pill to stop an ill wind

German scientists have developed a pill that stops cattle breaking wind.

Methane emissions from cattle are responsible for 4% of harmful greenhouse gas emissions, and any reduction would be a major contribution to reducing global warming.

Scientists at the University of Hohenheim in Germany say they have now tested a pill which in combination with a special diet and strict feeding times should make cattle less harmful to the climate.

The pill, which is still being tested, breaks down the methane in the cows' stomachs, and also has health benefits for the cattle.

Winfried Drocher, head of the faculty for animal nutrition at the university, said: "It will make this energy available for the cows' metabolism. The cattle can use the methane to produce glucose instead of just passing it out and it will enable them to produce more milk."

The only problem at the moment is that the pill is about the size of a fist, which is hard to persuade the cows to swallow.

"It needs to be this big as it dissolves slowly, releasing active ingredients over several months. Our aim is to increase the well-being of the cows and to reduce the emission of greenhouse gasses," said Drocher.

Fear not, Bandwagoneer! We are saved!!!

This is the height of absurdity! We can stop cattle from farting to save the world! OK, now, how many more species do we need a "fart pill" for to really make an impact here? Wow, I'll bet those blue whales can rip some good ones...let's start there!

A pill the size of a fist? Jeebus! Talk about a jawbreaker...The cattle will stop farting because this thing will be stuick in their gullet for months and they won't be eating!
