I mean its not even like he is out for the year, I understand that they are a bit limited on doing some of the two TE stuff, but we have other TE's and hey...maybe....we can ....adjust to something different until he comes back....they seem to run the no huddle just fine and the 3 wide seemed ok too....if we are that limited then we have more issues than Ahern being out for a few weeks.

He hurt his MCL I think was out 3-4 weeks. Gronk was unstoppable for the weeks he was gone.

Who? I mean, we're probably gonna fall to 1-2, then we'll probably go 13-3, have HFA and torch fools. No one thinks we're doomed.

Maybe I'm reading the wrong papers.

Unfortunately, for whatever reason, the Pats under Belichick have never been very good at adjusting to sudden in-game changes in the gameplan due to injury to skilled players. I expect them to adjust accordingly this week.
This may be so, but it's probably worse now with the restrictions on practices. The offense is getting somewhat fewer reps during the week and the "deduction" is almost certainly coming out of the "what if"/backup plan budget (which was probably not huge to begin with) and not out of the game plan budget.

OTOH, this affects every team, though it should be worse for teams without strong depth/redundancy at key positions. And it's not as if BB hasn't tried to gain depth at the TE position. If either Fells or Shiancoe had been healthy and active, Sunday might have gone a bit differently.

I think Gronk could have a good few weeks coming up, don't discount Welker, Lloyd and Winslow from performing well. There are plenty of options for Brady and I'm sure that Brady and the receivers will all help carry the load that would have been AHern's.

Hernandez is perhaps the most dynamic player on the Offence but I know that the team will be able to cope without him.

Okay that's it. Since this thread is "Hernandez Update" I'm going to neg rep every post that bumps it up that does not contain an actual...you know...HERNANDEZ UPDATE!!

Ummmm...this post excluded of course.

Alright, KIDDING...but it's killing me, I keep getting my hopes up for new info.

And YES I know better to expect that, but I can't help myself sometimes.

Carry on.

Well since you are a patriots fan, you will never have good info on exactly what it is, or when he will be back....so its anything from a high ankle sprain with tears or a normal ankle sprain....2-4 weeks or 4-6 weeks....that should clear it up....

Here you update he out six weeks with a ankle injury. Then he will be questionable for the rest of the year with it.

Breaking News

FOXBOROUGH -- Tight end Aaron Hernandez and defensive tackle Justin Francis have been ruled out for Sunday night's game at Baltimore, according to the Patriots' injury report on Friday. Both players are suffering from ankle injuries.

I wonder if Belichick is aware of this information? It seems like he's always
left out of the loop!
