Are you seriously comparing Favre to Brady? Brady was just in the SB at age 40 and league MVP. And there has never been a retiring tour with Brady, just the opposite. He is the most committed player in the league to not only playing but playing at a high level with all the disciplines he does with his body.

Bill Josh definitely needs his next guy. Now.

The difference was Brett was pulling the Gronk, I may retire, I may not retire, act and leaving the team wondering what do they have IF they trade Rodgers AND Brett retires. Brady has continuously said he wants to play until 45 so trading Jimmy left you with 5 more years of Tom.

Look I know some of you go all Midgar when any questions Tom so let me clearly lay it out again.

If Tom even plays for 3 more years, then letting Garop wak was OK.

If he only plays one more year and makes it back to the Super Bowl then OK

If he plays one more year, falls short, then retires, that sucks.

Can I be any more succinct.

All the worrying over JG is kind of pointless. Sure, if he becomes great it'll grate, but the timing was just never right. If he'd been born 3-4 years later we'd be sittin' pretty.

Tom is always surprising people. BB probably figured he'd retire by now. Not only is he not retiring, he's still playing at an MVP level at his age. You just don't trade or cut a guy who's a proven commodity for a guy who has potential but hasn't played a full season yet.

Tom made it difficult to do BB's usual thing (a year too early instead of...) and who knows? If BB hadn't screwed up and the defense hadn't sucked, Brady would have ring #6, take that, Jimmy G.!

I chalk up the somber tone of this installment to the aftermath of the loss. I'm a fan, not a player, and I was bummed for more than a week and still aren't excited about football. Maybe in July, because I learned a long time ago the draft means trading down out of the first round for guys we never heard of.

Yeah I mean when Favre won those two superbowls and MVp when he was 40 we were all say, man they need to go with.....wait nevermind that didn't happen, and can we at least wait until JG plays 8 games before he is Aaron Rodgers.

I think it was more about, Brady had a MVP season and went to the superbowl, so it would have been hard to cut him, JG had played 2 games and got hurt, and wanted a ton of money. I mean we cannot even afford to keep our starting corner or dola and we were going to give JG 25 mil a year when Brady is making 14? Yeah that is not going to happen.

Thanks for the good intentions, but those links require me to sign into FB which I NEVER will. Like our Fearless Leader, I don't My Face, Slap You, Candygram or any other social media site. All can likewise be found on YouTube.
