Channel 3 in CT and their 1980's TV Model

OK a bit of a rant here.

Apparently there's a storm coming or some such, so I wonder where I can go to get some information.

Weather channel?

Naw.

One of the hundreds of sites on line that are weather related?

Naw.

I know! A football game!

They are certain to use up ~25% of the screen with a continuous loop of what's closed and periodically do a screen in a screen to tell me that a hurricane is coming.

Huzzah for wonderful Channel 3.



OK end rant.

These guys are absolute pinheads.

They apparently still think that the only place one can go for information is the local broadcast TV station. That the intenet and cable TV never happened.

Christ on a frakin crutch, can they just show the god damn game?

Are other TV stations this freakin stupid?

I feel your pain. Run big segments on it on the morning, early evening and late night news. But for Christsakes leave my friggin football game alone!

It's barely a Cat 1 storm, the projections have it either hitting New Jersey or NYC the most (or going out to sea completely missing New England) and it's still pretty far out. It ain't Katrina, we ain't New Orleans and it ain't an hour or two before landfall.

Yeah, the best part was that they couldn't interrupt the half time show and us seeing the Squeeelers uniforms in technicolor splendor, with their "Storm update", nope they had to wait till we where 7 minuets into the 3rd quarter, just when Bradford threw the intentional grounding to tell us that nothing had changed since they last told us nothing had changed.

Phew, thank god I didn't have to change the channel to find out nothing had changed.

Don't underestimate any storm. Isaac hit the south Louisiana area in August and just sat there. Didn't do the expected and break down when it hit land. So you could just be waving at it while it blows by. But, maybe not.

No Channel 3 is still run by pinheads.

Two years ago it snowed here. It looked like someone dusted us with powered sugar. We had 18 hours of Storm Of 2011 coverage. Absolutely ludicrous.

OK, so last night I was sitting around and heard the wind and rain outside and wondered where I could go to get information on the storm.

I thought about the Weather Channel and said "Naw".

I thought about going on line, but didn't want the power to go out again (see this post)

Then I realized "Hey Monday Night Football is on! That'll have info on the storm".

So I put on ESPN and they had nothing.

What's up with that?
