Deion Sanders

Thought this was worth posting here, it's a great article on MMQB

http://mmqb.si.com/mmqb/2017/07/13/n...r-jordyn-adams

Shows how good he really was at the time, leaving games by Helicopter to go to Braves games and out in superb performances with them. I agree with the writer, we won't see the like of him again.

We all like him here of course as he's always had BB's back!!

The real greats, the guys who have won multiple championships, always do because they understand what it takes. Anybody can get lucky one time.

Guy played in a Super Bowl and a World Series. It doesn't get much better than that.

Didn't Phil Collins perform in Philadelphia and then board a Concorde so he could play in London on the same day?

I have always believed Jordan went to play baseball because of Deion. I mean who didn't want to be Deion? He was unreal.

I know some women who work all day, then go home and cook a three-course dinner for their families. And then help the kids with their homework and put them to bed.

Lots of respect to multi-sport athletes, but they're not the real heroes.

Deion is a bright, likeable guy who does a good job with a mic in his hand, but I couldn't stand watching him play DB.

Sure, he was supremely skilled, but he simply refused to tackle people.

He was one of the softest players ever. Watching him duck tackles on running plays was like a joke but he was so good in coverage that he could get away with it.

That doesn't mean I had to like him as a football player.

Do you know Deion's story? I recommend you watch his HoF speech, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f4vLu9NZn0Q
The woman you just described is his mom and then some.

I know a lot of people calling him soft, but I wasn't one of them. He was so fast that he rarely needed to tackle, because his man rarely caught the ball.

He also was great on special teams returning kicks.

This guy returned fewer punts than Prime did, but whenever he was back there you could expect magic-

Other way around. It was in '85 for the Live AID concert

Deon was the rare athlete who was good enough to play 2 sports professionally, but he was no Bo.

I honestly beleive that barring injury and in an alternate universe where the baseball and football seasons didn't overlap, that Bo would have been a hall of famer in both.

I agree. He was amazing to watch.
