Not sure where to put this, but....
If Georgia loses, the coaches will have no one to blame but themselves. They pulled the plug on offense much too early. |

This past year, he was above the following non-rookie starting QBs in passer rating:
Eli Manning Joe Flacco Marcus Mariota Trevor Siemian That's it. He was worse than 23 other QBs, including Jay Cutler, Jacoby Brissett, the now retired Carson Palmer, and so on. His only season above 90 Passer Rating was 2015, and even that season he was 7th in Passer Rating, 16th in Yards, 27th in Completion Percentage, 12th in NY/A, and 16th in Int%. The reason he Won was because with rushing, he had 45 TDs, and with the way Fantasy Football is scored, he was by far the highest point leader in there for QBs. Also the Panthers went 15-1. Just because he won MVP, he was not at all the best QB that season. This year as well, he was a great Fantasy Football QB, 2nd overall in fact. However looking at this year and his career as a whole, I certainly think it's fair to say he's a below average QB as a passer, one of the bottom tier in the NFL. His ground game helps, and I certainly wouldn't say he "sucks" myself (all of these guys are monsters compared to QBs of years past), but just because he's statistically the equivalent of Dan Marino with legs, doesn't make him necessarily a good or even great QB in the modern era. |

Cam Newton is taking the kind of pounding a power back like Earl Campbell took. His career will have that kind of arc.
Expect a major injury in the next couple of years and a completely ineffective player after. |

And do not try and tell us it was an eye issue. Immediately after the hit his hand flexes like he’s electrocuted, he briefly loses control of the ball, corrals it again, and then can’t get to the sideline. That’s NOT a poke in the eye. |

But he's a star QB and he's not coming off the field in that situation as long as he knows which direction to line up in. |

I think based on his style of play that it's entirely possible he's already peaked.
Dudes that play like him often have shorter careers and 'primes'. |

They should lose a 1st round pick and Newton should be suspended for 4 games

He stops about 15 feet from the sideline. What a prima donna. I know he needed to give Derek Anderson time to warm up but you know he wanted the cameras on him.
