The visuals on this page might be confusing to someone who isn't familiar with Brubeck's work.
Dave played piano. The still photograph on the youtube clip is Paul Desmond. The Time cover has a sax in the foreground and a piano in the background - an odd choice, I think. Dave and his quartet produced some wonderful music - one of my long-time favorites. |

I got to see him perform several times, both with the Quartet and later with his son and grandson. He was a great and gentle person who will be missed.
