NFL spokesman on Tom Brady: "We have reviewed all reports relating to Tom Brady from the unaffiliated neurotrauma consultants and certified athletic trainer spotters who worked at Patriots' home and away 2016 season games as well as club injury reports that were sent to the league office. .... There are no records that indicate that Mr. Brady suffered a head injury or concussion, or exhibited or complained of concussion symptoms. Today we have been in contact with the NFLPA and will work together to gather more information from the club's medical staff and Mr. Brady. The health and safety of our players is our foremost priority and we want to ensure that all our players have and continue to receive the best care possible."

If this doesn't raise concern then we didn't learn a thing.

They issued that statement a few days ago. IMHO, they are just playing up to the media and they just want this to go away.

The big difference from the other discussed cases, Sherman and Bell, is that those idiots admitted they were hurt. Without medical documentation, or someone from the training staff saying something, there's no way to know that Brady may have been concussed. It's highly doubtful that Brady will admit to it.

This will be in the rear view mirror by next week.

Random concussion testing for players is coming a la random drug testing.

And?

What if...

What if the powers, and I use that term only in title, that be decide the opinion of a spouse is enough cause for concern to dig a bit deeper and they simply request all communications.

They really have to do something as relying on the players to say anything is proving futile. And this truly is the ONE issue that effects the leagues bottom line both in terms of the law suits and players retiring early or not even deciding to play football at all.

Despite the hysteria from some of the folks thinking the league will somehow try to punish the Pats over this, I see this as Brady's ultimate thumb in the eye as this is a PR bombshell for the league to manage and really if he wanted, he could really milk this and talk about the hits he has taken and how the league "independent doctors" did not even check him out despite Clowney and others pummeling him the entire post-season. How he felt woosy but was unable on his own to determine if he was Ok but being a football player, he want back in because he is the toughest competitor the sport has ever known, yada, yada, yada.

Hopefully by now, he knows enough to have two phones. One for him, and one to give to the league.

Yep. I'm guessing after the first big hit, the league orders Brady to come out of the game, and be checked by the doctor.

I've called her multiple times trying to schedule my prostate exam.

Is it normal in booking an exam to get yelled at in broken English with a touch of Portuguese curse words I presume thrown in?

He did previously. The league can take the team issued at any point. It's their property.

DG hinged around his personal phone, which they said they had all relevant comms and only blew up when he disclosed he'd had it destroyed as usual.

No two private phones, one he doesn't share, a burner phone... and one by a local carrier that can be traced.

I think any celeb should have a burner.

I hear: "Well, the league is cleared, so we'll have to go after Tom and the Pats. What else can you do??? Player safety, integrity, etc"
