I think 317 yards and 7 TDs in 2 playoff games vs. the Colts was nice. The number of Patriots who have had to share the ball come playoff time is not a small list.

Who is playoff caliber?
Danny Amendola?
James White?
Martellus Bennett?

Guys who could get 100 yards and 2 TDs but don't pout without carries or receptions is part of what makes this team great.

Corey Dillon and LeGarrette Blount have identical yards per carry in the playoffs.

LeGarrette Blount - 3.1 ypc in the playoffs this past season. Is now over 30 when the rest of the RBs are 27 and younger. Take out the 2 games against the worst rush defense of all-time in the Colts, and then tell me he's Corey ****ing Dillon. Go ahead.

I agree.

Blount was nice for what he was (I LOVED how hard it was to take him down at times), but to me he was more of an upgraded Antowan Smith than a Corey Dillon.

Being a short yardage goal-line weapon in addition to being a clock-killer with a 4th quarter lead is a valuable asset. Nice player, and not every team can count on one of those guys.

But they'll do just as well this year with the guys they brought in to take his job. It's all good - thank you very much, LGB, and good luck.

The only thing that gets my blood pressure up are the dummies on the radio who create this huge strawman of these legions of Patriots fans who thought Blount was an indispensable All-Pro, and then incessantly make fun of those non-existent people.

Go read any Blount thread over the last few months. They're not non-existent.

They're passionate but rare. Count them up.

Mike and the Lapdog need to stop pretending this is how fans feel about Blount. It's a strawman.

No, but, he was hard to get down once he was running at full speed.

He was most definitely useful in many games when he was a Pat.

He had a terrible superbowl vs ATL unfortunately though...

To be fair when you get down 28-3, running the ball ain't gonna get you back in it. That's why TFB got on fire.. he had to. Admittedly LB didn't do much early in the game though.

He did have a red zone fumble in a scoreless game, lest we forget.

LeGarrette Blount: "New England wanted me back, I enjoyed playing there, but I thought this was best fit for me."

Yeah, especially since close to $1M of his incentives wouldn't be attained with the signing of Burkhead and Gillislee

Seems like a well measured answer. Drool too much over Pats and the Brotherly Love gets stressed. Don't talk about money just "better fit" and you seem more of an ok guy. But ur right of course. It's always about money. And he does have teh rings.

And we have enhanced our comp profile.

Cheers
