What sites does every go to for Patriots articles?

I have one pay site - theathletic.com - well worth it IMO.

I had four free sites, Patspulpit, CLNS (weird site but I like Evan Lazar), Florio's PFT, and comcastsports (Phil Perry), but I had to drop comcastsports. Last time I tried to go there, there was an overpage where I had to agree to their distributing my information to 'select' third party senders.

When I clicked on LEARN MORE, 'select' turn out to be about a hundred gathers of information. I could opt out of about half of them, but the other half I had to go to the individual commemorators to opt out. I tried two, but could not find a way without contacting their support. I couldn't get into Comcastsports with agreeing to let comcastsports send them a boatload of personal information including my browsing history, so I didn't and won't.

So I'm looking for other sources of Pats articles.

Anyone have a favorite, free or pay?

I get every article off twitter. I follow pretty much all the guys I like, and some I dont. I follow the editors and writers from the Athletic like Jeff Lowe. I like PFF, but they are getting too much like fans lately.

Evan Lazar thinks the Pats' OL is one of the league's 5 best.
I'm inclined to agree with him now that everyone is healthy and depth is better than it's been in years.

Here's a few authors I read.

PFF, Football Outsiders and Pro Football Reference are great sites. I'm a firm believer in analytics but that may not seem important to others.

I really like the work by Evan Lazar at CLNS even if I don't always agree with his take. He puts more effort into his articles than any other current writer.

And, yes, I still read Bedard's take on Boston Sports Journal.

I haven't paid attention to Tom E. Curran in a couple of years. He lost his mojo when Mayo left his side on Quick Slants. He no longer has any insider knowledge of the Patriots and in some ways he's been ostracized by the club in a manner that reminds me of the Ron Borges situation. Doug Kyed has replaced Tom E. for my needs.

Bleacher Report, Rotoworld, Reddit, Yahoo - follow them. Andrew Brandt on National Football Post and Dan Kadar on Mocking the Draft provide really good and accurate information.

For the draft, I have some 25-30 people whose opinions I consider reliable. Pat Kirwan and Gil Brandt on NFL SiriusXM (88) are excellent. Daniel Jeremiah has upped his game from fluff to stuff in the last 2 years.

Matt Miller, Josh Norris, Matt Waldman, Greg Cosell and Wes Bunting supplanted Mel Kiper years ago.

Wes Bunting of Nat. Football Post is really good at draft time. He thinks the way NFL GMs think and eliminates the bad info/hype fed to us from the draftniks who go with flow. Follow him and Dan Kadar for reliable draft info.

Wow, thanks, Chev!

Lots of new guys to look at.

I agree about Curran. I think he was actually sliding before Mayo left. I think he peaked with Mary Paoletti It became really obvious when Phil Perry got bigger role.

On the flip side....Drew Brees might have said something he should not have right now. McCourtys think so.

He must not be as concerned about Cannon as I am. If Andrews is back, and everyone stays healthy (big IF), it's a very good unit. Cannon, at 32, with that injury history, is the obvious weak link.

There’s more concerns.

Can they sign Thuney?

Does Andrews just pop right back to old form and if not who is C?

Are the reserves better than the mess last year?

Its about injuries for me, some guys on the line have some issues staying healthy. I am not too worried about Andrews as long as the clots stay away. I would have assumed that if they could have signed thuney that would have been done by now because of his cap hit.

Plus cutting Cannon would save over $5M in cap space. Competition begins June 6th at Gillette.

The Pats have until 4PM July 15th to sign Thuney.

I can think of a few reasons he hasn't been signed already - cash flow to meet his large signing bonus is among them.
I think we'll find out he's been signed at 5PM July 15th.

Andrews' blood clotting has resolved. He's in terrific shape & ready to go.

Andrews wouldn’t be the first vet that took a year off and then when put back in the trenches felt getting beat on sucked. It happens.

That's true but Andrews was at every practice and every game last year.
He's chomping at the bit to get started. He isn't Haynesworth.

I am not saying from a timeline, I just think the pats would have wanted to get that giant cap hit off the books before Free agency. Maybe not.

We're doomed. Adam Shein is looking at a total Pats collapse and at best a top 5 pick in the 2021 draft. Maybe even the No.1:

1) Patriots will collapse to a top-five pick in the 2021 NFL Draft
By Labor Day, I might even push this to top three. Or on the clock.

Tom Brady is in Tampa. Jarrett Stidham is Jarrett Stidham. Yes, Bill Belichick is the greatest coach in the history of sports, but the roster just isn't that good. The problems that ultimately led to New England's undoing down the stretch last season still exist -- in fact, they're probably even more problematic. And the Patriots no longer have the G.O.A.T. to serve as the ultimate deodorant for what stinks. The receiving corps remains underwhelming. I like the long-term upside of the two tight ends New England drafted in the third round -- Devin Asiasi and Dalton Keene -- but the roster lacks a proven NFL commodity at the position. The offensive line is average at best. Same with the backfield. Defensively, the Pats went from historic during the team's 8-0 start last season to leaky in the second half of the year. And the unit lost a number of key players, including Kyle Van Noy and Jamie Collins.

I haven't even mentioned the schedule, which is brutal. Check it out. New England will be the inferior team in almost every single game it plays. Road division games in Miami and New York are hardly givens. The Bills will maul the Patriots.

This season in Foxborough has 5-11 written all over it. If everything breaks right. I think the Jaguars, Patriots and Giants are the three worst teams in the NFL right now.
