Moreover, the OS is how viruses attack generally and there needs to be an entry point (wireless or otherwise). Not saying software stability isn't a legitimate concern, but there are plenty of other machines doing tons of shit that humans used to do (including assembly lines, flying planes, etc.) and downtime due to 'crashes' is not a serious problem at all.

We all drive every day and see terrible drivers on the roads. Do you put faith in humans driving? Given that machines have generally done our jobs better than we could in areas where they replaced us, why should driving be different?
could there be fewer deaths because there are fewer humans?

Sure, but you could replace 'deaths' with 'accidents' or whatever other term for 'shit gone wrong'.

Oh, self driving cars will definitely be safer than human drivers once the technogy advances. I don't even think that's debatable.

Neither do I. It actually amazes me that some people think otherwise.

The only problem is that in the short-term, people will probably die as the technology advances and the AI continues to learn. If we can't stomach that then self driving cars could just get regulated into extinction before they ever reach full potential.

Nope, I sure don't...

BUT, if you can defensively drive, you have a better chance to avoid terrible situations.

I'm not a Luddite, but, I will never do the transhumanism thing. Fuck that...it's probably for only "the elites" anyway. But still.

5G will cause a LOT of overall problems. Bank on it.

If you really research UN's Agenda 21/30 (yes, it is a very real thing)...they don't really want anyone going anywhere. They want you in a stack/n/pack apartment complex, in your place most of the time. Living off of Universal Basic Welfare. Gaming online. Eating your science lab franken-feuxd. Not living a full life. Ugh...

Mock this however you want...all I am is the messenger.
