A lawsuit filed by watchdog organization Judicial Watch would force the FBI to release the disparaging messages about President Donald Trump that a top FBI agent on the Russia investigation exchanged with an FBI lawyer on the same investigation.

Those messages forced Special Counsel Robert Mueller to kick the investigator, Peter Strzok, off of the Russia investigation, after the Department of Justice’s inspector general brought them to Mueller’s attention. Strzok played a leading role in both the Russia investigation as well as the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s private email server. (RELATED: Top Clinton Aides Faced No Charges After Making False Statements To Anti-Trump FBI Agent)

The Wall Street Journal’s editorial board argued that the biased messages are just the latest indicator that Mueller lacks credibility and should be replaced, while former FBI Assistant Director Chris Swecker said the revelation “casts a cloud over much of the Clinton investigation.”

The messages, which reportedly were exchanged during the presidential campaign, “should be responsive” to a lawsuit that Judicial Watch filed with the Department of Justice in October 2016, Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton told The Daily Caller.

In other words, the messages are the type of records Judicial Watch’s lawsuit seeks to recover, and they’re expected to be included in the batch of documents produced by the DOJ.

Judicial Watch filed the lawsuit for all documents related to the FBI’s “investigation of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s use of a non-government email server during her tenure,” as well as all documents pertaining to former Attorney General Loretta Lynch’s infamous tarmac meeting with Bill Clinton.

As a result of that lawsuit, the FBI released 30 pages of documents related to the meeting, after the agency had previously claimed to be unable to find any such documents.

Fitton said he’s not sure what the timeline will be for getting the FBI to release Strzok’s texts and other related documents.
Judicial Watch has also filed a separate FOIA request for documents related to Strzok’s dismissal, Fitton said, adding that his organization has yet to receive a response from the FBI. The FOIA request was submitted in March.

Fitton added that Judicial Watch is considering additional litigation as well.

In case any right wingers here are still under an illusion about what your party represents....remember that Trump can order the release of all these documents any time he wants...and the GOP in congress can request the president order them to be released.

But...the priority in Washington isn't you, it isn't good governance...it may not even be money. The priority is to preserve the two party system...that means that, when you get down to brass tacks, the GOP will protect democrats before they protect you, because neither party wants to compromise the other party enough to compromise the system...and if that means screwing you in the process.....well....screw you.
Yeah, I'm not getting that at all, wtf doesn't he make them release all this stuff? A whole lot of shady shit is going on with these investigators as well, it's either time to fire their asses or have them investigated by a non-party affiliated investigative team.

This stuff is getting juicier and juicier by the day.

The sentiment was anti-FBI brass more than anything, from the stories coming out at the time.

Incidentally, Comey was totally a political animal and never gave two sh*ts about the FBI or law and order....when he thought Hillary was sure to win...he exculpated Hillary...when he figured out that Trump might win, he made a last minute show of investigating her again, just in case Trump won.

None of what Comey did had anything to do with Law and Order. Speaking of which, news regarding Comey and Hillary's favorite lapdog today...and Podesta's dinner partner during the campaign.

GOP lawmakers cite new allegations of political bias in FBI

GOP lawmakers say they have heard new stories about political bias or interference within the FBI on the eve of new testimony Thursday by FBI Director Christopher Wray.

Rep. Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.) said Wednesday he interviewed a recently retired FBI supervisor who told him he was instructed by Deputy Director Andrew McCabe not to call the 2012 Benghazi attack an act of terrorism when distributing a report on the FBI findings to the larger intelligence community.

The agent found the instruction concerning because his unit had gathered incontrovertible evidence showing a major al Qaeda figure had directed the attack and the information had already been briefed to President Obama, the lawmaker said.

In the days after the 2012 attack, Obama administration officials initially said it was related to spontaneous Muslim anger over an anti-Islam video tape and not a planned-out act of terrorism.

DeSantis argued the example highlights the politicization of the FBI.

“What operational reason would there be to issue an edict to agents telling them, in the face of virtually conclusive evidence to the contrary, not to categorize the Benghazi attack as a result of terrorism? By placing the interests of the Obama administration over the public’s interests, the order is yet another data point highlighting the politicization of the FBI,” DeSantis said.

DeSantis and several other lawmakers say they plan to press Wray at a hearing Thursday before the House Judiciary Committee about growing concerns that certain FBI supervisors allowed political bias to cloud judgments or decisions.

FBI officials did not immediately return a call seeking comment about DeSantis’s allegations.

The effort comes days after President Trump lashed out at the FBI. Trump was angered by the news that an FBI official working with special counsel Robert Mueller had sent anti-Trump and pro-Hillary Clinton texts to a girlfriend. Mueller removed the married FBI agent from his team.

Trump and his allies, including DeSantis, argue the FBI has taken a much more forceful approach to investigating Trump than they did when Clinton was being probed for her use of a private email server as secretary of State.

“The data points we have regarding politicization are damning enough but appear all the more problematic when viewed against the backdrop of investigations whose ferocity seemed to depend on the target: the Clinton case was investigated with an eye towards how to exonerate her and her associates, while the Russia investigation is being conducted using scorched earth tactics that seek to find anything to use against Trump associates,” DeSantis told The Hill.

He said he also had talked to another whistleblower who witnessed a video teleconference last February between bureau leadership and their special agents in charge on the day former Trump national security adviser Michael Flynn resigned over lying to Vice President Pence over his contacts with Russia’s ambassador to the United States.

Flynn pleaded guilty on Friday to making false statements to the FBI.

DeSantis said the person he spoke with said a senior FBI executive made an inappropriate comment suggesting the bureau had a personal motive in investigating Flynn and ruining his career. DeSantis wants the FBI to tell him if the videotape was saved.

“The wildly divergent ways these investigations have been conducted appear to dovetail with the political bias that has been uncovered,” DeSantis said.

The FBI counterintelligence agent removed by Mueller, Pete Strozyk, played key roles in the Russia investigation into Trump as well as the classified email probe that ended with no criminal charges against Hillary Clinton.

A few weeks before Strozyk’s revelation, Justice released records showing his boss, former FBI Director James Comey, originally concluded that Clinton’s transmission of classified information across her insecure private email account was “grossly negligent,” a term that supports a felony charge. But that term was edited out and replaced with “extremely careless” by the FBI before Comey made his final announcement, the documents show.

The records also show the Clinton email probe was given “special” status to be controlled only by a small team at FBI headquarters instead of entrusted with the field offices that normally investigate crimes.

Meanwhile, the Justice Department inspector general and the U.S. Office of Special Counsel are both investigating whether McCabe, the FBI deputy director, violated the Hatch Act or engaged in improper ethical conflicts when his wife ran for Virginia state senate in 2015 as a Democrat.

His wife received $700,000 in campaign support tied to Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe (D), a Clinton ally who was under investigation by the FBI at the time. Records show McCabe attended a meeting in March 2015 with McAuliffe designed to secure the governor’s support of Jill McCabe’s candidacy.

McCabe has said he sought FBI legal advice on how to deal with his wife’s campaign. He nonetheless presided over the Clinton email case until just a few days before it was closed, when he unexpectedly recused himself.

Multiple Republican lawmakers said Wednesday they believe the email case was tainted by political favoritism and special treatment for the 2016 Democratic nominee and planned to press Wray about their concerns.

“We are here today calling for an investigation into FBI systems and procedures that have allowed special treatment and bias to run rampant,” Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) said. “The law demands equal treatment for all, not ‘special’ treatment for some. There is a clear and consistent pattern of treating the Clinton investigation differently than other investigations.”

Yes, the man with zero integrity should FIRE the man with infinite integrity.

Also, go read Erik Prince's transcript from today of his congressional testimony. Maybe you'll get a clue as to what the real truth is and the cabal that he and his murderous mercenaries really have going on.

Erik Prince? Are you serious?

You know who he is, right?

Edit: I misread your post initially. Prince can go phuk himself, as far as I care. The man represents everything wrong with America. The man that turned the world into his personal Viet Nam style slaughterhouse, and is currently working for both Trump and Chinese Intelligence.

I'm pretty convinced that Trump is Prince's puppet. But if you get a chance, read today's transcript. It's pretty unbelievable.

He convinced Trump to put his private army into place. And now he's working on him to mobilize a private spy network run by him. He made a mockery of the Democratic process today and his disdain for government was on full display.

The GOP congressmen were spineless in their questioning. And he chewed them up and spit them out in between his lies.

Holy crap....the Flynn case is unravelling faster than I can keep up with it...

Obama Appointed Judge Mysteriously Recuses Himself From Michael Flynn Case

The case against former National Security Advisor Mike Flynn has taken a strange turn, as U.S. District Judge Rudolph Contreras abruptly recused himself Thursday night with no explanation. Contreras is an Obama appointee who also sat on the FISA court while the Trump team was under surveillance by the Obama administration. Judge Emmet Sullivan, an Bill Clinton appointee, was randomly assigned to take over the case after Contreras' recusal.

Of note, Contreras was appointed to the FISA court on May 19, 2016 - before the warrant to surveil one-time Trump advisor Carter Page was issued "in the summer" of 2016. It is unknown whether or not Contreras was involved in the decision, or whether he was involved in surveillance on Michael Flynn.

In fact every single FISA Court judge was appointed during the Obama administration:

(No sh*t, Sherlock...FISA was created under Obama to give the illusion of legality to illegal activities. There is no other president that it existed under until now.)
Michael Flynn pleaded guilty last Friday to a false statement charge brought by Special Counsel Robert Mueller's office in relation to the Trump-Russia investigation. The retired Army lieutenant general and director of the Defense Intelligence Agency was fired 24 days into his role as National Security Advisor for lying about his meeting with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak. Flynn also admitted to lying about his dealings with Turkey as a private lobbyist.

The case against Flynn, however, is not so straightforward. As Robert Parry pointed out last week:
"What is arguably most disturbing about this case is that then-National Security Adviser Flynn was pushed into a perjury trap by Obama administration holdovers at the Justice Department who concocted an unorthodox legal rationale for subjecting Flynn to an FBI interrogation four days after he took office, testing Flynns recollection of the conversations while the FBI agents had transcripts of the calls intercepted by the National Security Agency.

In other words, the Justice Department wasnt seeking information about what Flynn said to Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak the intelligence agencies already had that information. Instead, Flynn was being quizzed on his precise recollection of the conversations and nailed for lying when his recollections deviated from the transcripts."

Parry continues; "Then, just four days into the Trump presidency, an Obama holdover, then-acting Attorney General Sally Yates, primed the Flynn perjury trap by coming up with a novel legal theory that Flynn although the national security adviser-designate at the time of his late December phone calls with Kislyak was violating the 1799 Logan Act, which prohibits private citizens from interfering with U.S. foreign policy."

The Logan Act, however, was never intended to apply to incoming officials in the transition period - and in the past 218 years, has resulted in no successful prosecution.

Yates then performed mental gymnastics based on her Logan Act theory to assert that Flynn's deviation from the transcript of the intercepts meant he might be vulnerable to Russian blackmail.

This, as Parry points out, would require that the Russians first would have detected the discrepancies; secondly, they would have naively assumed that the U.S. intelligence agencies had not intercepted the conversations, which would have negated any blackmail potential; and thirdly, the Russians would have to do something so ridiculously heavy-handed trying to blackmail Flynn that it would poison relations with the new Trump administration.

In other words, Michael Flynn was surveilled under a FISA warrant, then set up to fail by Sally Yates when he deviated from the transcripts of his intercepted conversations. And the judge overseeing his case, who is on the FISA court, has suddenly recused himself.

Last but not least, journalist Sara Carter revealed on hannity.com that the anti-Trump agent fired from Robert Mueller's Special Counsel, Peter Strzok, was one of two FBI agents who interviewed Flynn on January 24 at the White House, according to a former intelligence official with knowledge of the interview.

[W]ith the recent revelation that Strzok was removed from the Special Counsel investigation for making anti-Trump text messages it seems likely that the accuracy and veracity of the 302 of Flynns interview as a whole should be reviewed and called into question, said Carter's source, who added "he most logical thing to happen would be to call the other FBI Special Agent present during Flynns interview before the Grand Jury to recount his version."

Furthermore, Sara Carter reports that Flynn was tricked into a formal investigation after FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe told the retired three-star general "some agents were heading over (to the White House)," which Flynn thought was related to routine work the FBI had been doing - only to realize they were sent there for him.

It wasnt until after they were already in (Flynns) office that he realized he was being formerly interviewed. He didnt have an attorney with him

Between the recused judge who sits on the FISA court, Sally Yates' transcript 'trap,' and the fact that the FBI reportedly interviewed Flynn without an attorney present, it will be interesting to see how the case against Michael Flynn holds up.

http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2017-1...ael-flynn-case

Two weeks ago, I thought Flynn was a sacrifical lamb....but now, the Flynn case is looking like a Trojan Horse. Every time facts against him come out, they seem to expose someone involved with prosecuting him, and provide evidence of entrapment, bias, and failure to disclose exculpatory evidence from the prosecution.

This could get really, really fun. Gonna have to get some more .

So, this is basically 'So UNFAIR!'!? Nasty OBAMA expected Flynn to tell the truth without giving him time to fabricate it!?

Also, for the millionth time, the argument of a Dem influenced (SO UNFAIR) Mueller witch hunt, fails on this fundamental level:

Donald J. Trump's assistant AG appointed Mueller.

These liars are being systematically rolled up by the Special Counsel initiated by TRUMP'S ADMIN; some are admitting their felonies, others are being sweated, and the defense now is

OBAMA! SO UNFAIR!

This is surprising and unexpected.

SO UNFAIR! OBAMA! now with a touch of BENGHAZI!

Poor little Donny has experienced but a tiny little taste of the investigation that Clinton dealt with, and those that claim UNFAIR! are at the apex of hypocrisy. The GOP ran BENGHAZI into the ground while in the majority. It is a real treat that they continue to run its corpse out like Weekend At Bernie's and pretend that not only is it still alive, but demonstrates that life is so very unfair to our billionaire liar in chief with majorities in both houses of Congress and a (stolen) favorable majority in the SCOTUS.

If only BENGHAZI/OBAMA would leave poor Donny alone! The minority Dems are SO UNFAIR!

I think you are confused.

These are not "political" matters about being unfair, these are matters that directly go to affect the Flynn case legally.

Evidence obtained illegally by investigators, or withheld illegally by prosecution, goes to favor the accused.
