Yeah I mean when you beat the lions by 40, you had to put up that many points or they could come back, or when you scored 56 points on the titans, it was all about keeping them on their toes.

the early deficet had more to do with the Colts than the Pats.
Maybe you didnt play the way of normal because you were playing the pats offense and not the niners or titans offense.

I like Joe Montana saying he wants Peyton in the second half.

Hey, at least Brady got Terry Bradshaw's vote.

They asked him later and he just meant he thought they were even, he had no basis for saying first and second half, just that they both played. 2007, they polled 20 hall of fame Qb's 13 took brady, 3 took manning the rest either didnt say and one took favre. It changes yearly. Its all about when you poll them. If brady goes on to win the superbowl this year, poll them again. Its all about who is hot.

Really? They polled these 20 HOF QB's two years ago and the results were opposite? Do you have a link for that? I am interested in seeing those results.

It was espn, I will look for it, but here is another "poll" like I said it changes every year, also espn voted brady Qb of the decade with owners, players and experts voting, so if all the other ones mean nothing but this one is real cause manning won, then cool I guess,.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/playof...ike&id=3209882

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2...the-modern-era

http://espn.go.com/blog/nflnation/po...-packed-roster

So I guess its all about which one you want to go by. Manning having a great year brady coming off knee surgery I guess was a good time to poll for manning. lol

I am looking for it, espn has weird archives, but please ignore every thing else I sent as it means nothing as 20 80 year old men. I bet if I found a list of 12 retards that said manning was better you would buy that too, oh wait...I did its on the colts board. The point is from my links I provided is this changes every year, and it will always be like that like it was with marino and montana, so if you want to hang your hat on this cool, but Im glad we have who we have and we have the titles we have.

Midgar, I have no doubts (nor does anyone else on the internet) of your undying love for Brady. I am only asking for the information you said occurred. Also, I wasn't aware Montana, Aikman, Young, Kelly, Marino, Moon, Griese, Fouts, Staubach, Namath, etc. were 80 years old. My, how does the time fly.

Its funny when these polls of coaches and players were brought down here and showed, they meant nothing now this poll is everything. lol Like I said, I will take brady, his rings, his superbowl mvps and you can have this poll. I mean Im not the one over on another teams board trying to sell it.

This is all I need to know:

-------------------------- Montana---------Brady-----------Manning
Playoff Record:--------------16-7------------14-3------------7-8

Playoff TD-INT:------------45-21------------26-12-----------22-17

Playoff Passer Rating:-------95.6------------93.4--------------84.6

Super Bowl Record:----------4-0------------3-1---------------1-0

Super Bowl TD-INT:--------11-0------------7-1---------------1-1

Super Bowl Passer Rating:--127.8------------99.88-------------81.80

Super Bowl MVP’s:------------3---------------2----------------1

Here's my take.. Peyton, great passer, amazing arm, amazing ability to read defenses.. got happy feet early in his career, and was afraid to take a blow to deliver the pass, but has grown up and now will take that shot (probably watched Brady on film to see what he was doing different). He used to crap himself in the playoffs, but since his team (Rhodes/Addai) carried him to a SB MVP the year he threw 3 TDs and 7 INTs in the playoffs (one game with 0 tds), he's got the monkey off his back so he'll feel less pressure in the playoffs. He suffered from Marino syndrome, too many expectations and couldn't handle it, TB didn't have to deal with the hype machine or expectations, nobody thought he was the greatest before he won his first SB. Peyton is a low energy guy, doesn't show much emotion good or bad on the sidelines, aside from occasionally hiding his head under a towel when he's afraid to look.

Brady, great passer, great arm, amazing ability to read defenses, elusive in the pocket, able to stand in and take a hit to deliver the pass. Never nervous, always seems to keep his composure. High energy, likes to fire his team up and motivate offense and defense. Brady wins with his ability to protect the ball, especially in big games. His TD to INT ratio is what sets him apart from other QBs.

So Manning got 13.5 votes, Brady got 2.5.

If I remember right, Brady's votes were Aikman, Bradshaw, and 1/2 from Montana (who is a for giving that answer, IMO).

So I'm just wondering... how many of the 13 guys who voted for Manning have won championships? Multiple championships?

Here's the list of QBs in the hall. I'm not sure who's alive and who's not:

Bob Waterfield 1946-1955
Otto Graham 1948-1962
Bobby Layne 1948-1964
Y.A. Tittle 1949-1960
Norm Van Brocklin 1949-1975
George Blanda 1956-1971
Bart Starr 1956-1973
Johnny Unitas 1957-1974
Sonny Jurgensen 1957-1975
Len Dawson 1961-1978
Fran Tarkenton 1965-1977
Joe Namath 1967-1980
Bob Griese 1969-1979
Roger Staubach 1970-1983
Terry Bradshaw 1973-1987
Dan Fouts 1979-1994
Joe Montana 1983-1998
John Elway 1983-1999
Dan Marino 1984-2000
Warren Moon 1985-1999
Steve Young 1986-1996
Jim Kelly

My guess is that guys like Jim Kelly, Warren Moon, and Dan Fouts would vote for Manning 100 times out of 100 because of their personal shortcomings (no titles). Why point out Brady's biggest accomplishment when it makes you look like a loser?

And Fran Tarkenton, who was the ultimate individual achievements guy, also has stated he thinks Manning is better. Funny that the biggest knock on Fran is that he couldn't win a championship.

Excellent.. Dan Marino would have voted for Manning 10 times if they'd let him.. I bet he tried to vote for Manning and accidentally checked off Brady under the pressure.
