I'm actually glad that Jerruh Jones fucked everything up for the Cowturds...they could have won many moar rings with Jimmy Johnson. It does suck for Jimmy though.

I always admired the lack of bitterness from him. He walked away from the game when he could have had 10 more years, probably many years more still coaching. He was very honest and said he felt he owed it to his two sons as his career had kept him away from them for too long. And he admitted he didn't miss coaching at all when asked if he did years later. A very honest admission.

Dan Marino was obviously very difficult to work with. Diva is the word I'm thinking. JJ worked with all kinds of characters, Aikman, Irvin and Smith the three superstars, never an issue, nor with Charles Haley, that nutjob.

Dan I suspect was someone who did not take kindly to being told what to do.

I watched that Fox Sports interview he did about 2 years ago when he was very forthright and said he had been saying 5 years previous to that, BB was the greatest coach of all-time in the NFL. He said he wasn't disrespecting or dismissing the previous greats like Lombardi, Walsh, Noll etc. But he said those coaches were operating before the salary cap and FA era and could build teams. He said coaches today are nearly having to build new teams every year, so what BB has achieved is remarkable.

That's not something I've heard from any other former coaches, not something you would ever hear the poisonous Shula admit.

Hell with Gil Brandt being a huge BB fan as well, I may even start to like the Cowboys

that's because there aren't any coaches around...outside of Joe Gibbs...who were truly this great and Gibbs never says anything about anybody.

Is he still doing the NASCAR thing? He was fairly successful with that...
