David Andrews is optimistic he will be ‘good to go’ next season

Not sure if this was posted in any other thread, but I thought it was important enough to get it's own.

From Pat's Pulpit

Quote:
Almost five full months removed from the diagnosis, however, the outlook appears to be a positive one for Andrews. Speaking at a Patriots Charitable Foundation event in Providence on Monday, the 27-year-old talked about his challenging 2019 but also offered an optimistic perspective on what lies ahead for him: “I should have a bunch of doctors’ appointments here in February, and get all that cleared up and be good to go next year.”

“Hopefully that goes well and then we kind of see from there. Pretty optimistic and just hope everything comes back good here the next month,” said Andrews during a short media availability session after his remarks at the charity event (via ESPN Boston’s Mike Reiss). “I’m not ready to be done playing football. If there’s any chance I can go play football, that’s what I’m going to do.”
I don't ever recall seeing anything regarding he cause of the blood clots, so hopefully this means what ever it was, he hopes to get a clean bill of health regarding that in February.

Getting the doctors to tell him if he's OK, or not, in February adds an additional positive layer.

If the answer is that he's not going to be OK to play football in 2020, that means the Pat's will know early enough in the off season that they can plan appropriately before FA starts, or the Draft.

I hope the answer is that he actually is 'good to go'.

Wow.

Hadn’t heard that.

I know he has the confidence of TB and Josh. He’s able to get out to the second level on screens and run blocks.

And if we learned NOTHING else from the Gronk fiasco it’s get a handle on the FA situation in February and address organization needs in the draft.

Whatever happened to Dr Coolade? I'm sure he could offer his expert opinion.

He’s treating him.
