Someone has to sit Soros down and explain that buying protesters is super inefficient.

It's far more effective to just buy Cabinet posts directly.

Ask Betsy DeVos, she's getting an excellent return on her investment.

True, but your candidate has to win for it to pay off.

So, 42,000 pages of documents from Kavanaugh's career in government are released on Labor Day, less than 24 hours before the hearings start, 100,000 pages of related documents still not released. They're soaring to new heights of dirty of pool.

This is a lifetime appointment and they do a document dump of his background information the night before the hearings start? Shouldn't this lead to some rule making so this doesn't happen again in the future?

Do you honestly think Cavanaugh has something to hide? And if so, please speculate.

I haven't a clue, but the GOP is sure acting like he does.

How old is Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg? 85?

I wonder what it will be like when President Donald John Trump replaces another justice after Brett Kavanaugh is confirmed

He’s a public figure whose decisions are all available through public records.

He may have spanked one of his children as a reprimand at some ponit...sacrilege.

Disqualify him! Put him in jail.
Such a dick.

I jest, but not really anymore.

Because that would be contained in documents from his federal employment.

His judicial decisions are available. Things he did in jobs within the Bush administration and other political positions are not. Patrick Laehy is claiming that Kavanaugh had access to files hacked from Democratic Senators and lied about it during confirmation hearings in 2006.

Dems switch tactics on second day of hearings

Protesters repeatedly interrupted Brett Kavanaugh during the Supreme Court nominee’s second day of confirmation hearings, but Democrats took a gentler tack, letting the nominee speak before challenging him with questions.

After spending most of Tuesday interrupting Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) and other GOP senators, Democrats largely remained silent as Republicans questioned President Trump’s second nominee to the high court.

continues..

http://thehill.com/regulation/court-...ay-of-hearings

Apparently, someone told them that acting like children throwing temper tantrums wasn't playing well publically.

I'm happy about that and relieved. That act is getting old and tired, and these things are boring enough without dragging them on and on...I'd rather watch an actual hearing where questions get asked and answered, and the hearing can be orderly, even if heated.

Decorum counts. Act like adults, at least.

It's a discussion of how to comply with the Supreme Court.

Maybe this link has nothing to do with what Booker is referring to, or maybe there is something more to it.

But, if Booker is going to try to make the case that Kavanaugh argued to end racial preferences in awarding government contracts...that's ridiculous, because the discussion is about how to comply with a SCOTUS ruling that ended a longstanding policy of using racial profiling to award government contracts to minorities, even if they weren't the lowest bidder.

Is that the can of worms Booker wants to open. He wants to suggest that Kavanaugh should have disregarded the Supreme Court? Even Booker isn't that stupid, I hope.

Although...I can see where he wants to let the media cherry pick quotes from it and not give context to make him look racist. That's a real Hail Mary play, if that's the plan. It could work, but it could totally blow up in their faces...the democrats AND the media....it's like a Hail Mary play with a Hand Grenade.
