Dorsett will come around. It’s a lot to grasp here and he had the unfortunate issue of timing, missing all the spring camps and TC.

How many wins are you gonna get this year you didn't expect? Any? All you've got coming your way is losses you didn't expect. Those suck. I'd much rather have wins I didn't expect in my future.

Those are way more fun.
I doubt if 6-10 is what you would have said prior to game 1 when still hopeful for Luck to return soon.

Losses I didn't expect? 1 and maybe 2 so far. I always thought KC would be a tough game. Historically the Pats start the season really slow giving real evidence to the phrase "a work in progress". Plus, Andy Reid has a rep of drawing up good game plans when he has extra time. That loss wasn't totally unexpected although the pitiful play of our defense was a complete shock.

The Panthers loss was unexpected for sure.

Nevertheless, we're 4-2 and you're 2-4. Realistically, expectations for both our teams are lower than before game 1. I'd be very happy to end the season 12-4.

So 6-10 is better than still being the Vegas odds favorite for a Lombardi?

Dude, you gotta put the pipe down occasionally.

I'm obviously talking about silver linings here and how the position I'm in isn't as bad as you guys might think.

I'm curious, do you guys even get excited about wins any more? Like regular season wins. I'm sure on some level you do, but it can't be anything like what it used to be. How could it? You've been winning 13+ games a year for the last 15 years or so. It would be weird if you were enjoying the wins as much.

I'm legitimately curious, when was the last time you guys played a game you expected to lose? Can you even remember? Has it been that long? Right now I expect to lose every game and so am basically incapable of being disappointed.

Obviously given the choice I'd take the Patriots position (minus that pile of flaming garbage you call a defense...). But being in the position I'm in isn't as bad as it might seem.

I mean, he certainly could but I would get my hopes up. I was shocked we were able to get anything out of him let alone a decent QB.

You're right that next year will be a better judge than this year. I wouldn't be all that suprised if he doesn't pan out though

I am always excited when we win. It never gets old for me. Every game is so unique and even though the expectation is a win, you never know how the game will play out like last Sunday with that crazy fumble/touchback. I also love seeing the team progress from Sept to Dec. Every year we get to see the team improve and be in shape for a title run. That is the best part IMO and a reflection of our coaching. For sure we are spoiled but I enjoy every minute of every win.

I hear this all the time, and the impression I take away from it is that Reid is some type of zen master in this regard. Last time I checked BFB wasn't too shabby in this department either. His Andy Reidness in regards to clock management and in game decisions significantly negates this in my eyes.

this is the problem with your average, ignorant, hater...and the FF ones are even worse. They either don't understand this or are too clueless to see it.

Yeah. I mean for 17 years I have been on cloud 9 with this team. Every season we win in so many different ways. I can't even name my top 20 Pats games because there would be at least 50 that I would have to leave off the list to come up with the 20. lol. We are a blessed fanbase. As always, it is GOOD to be a Pats fan.

Yes, from my point of view you are. But why? I still believe Brady or someone in your organization is Dorian Gray reincarnated.

No. It is much simpler. God is a Patriots fan.
