That would be an excellent hire by the Jests. If they also get Turner, they will have done an excellent job in an attempt to turn that franchise around.

I'd worry about the jets if they had the talent of the 49ers.
49ers, green bay, Seattle all have becoup talent |

Tom Gamble isn't responsible for the 49ers good roster.
That would be GM Trent Baalke who started as a scout for SF in 2007 and worked his way up b/c of his good player evaluation to become GM in 2011. Since 2010, when Baalke served as the team’s Vice President of Player Personnel, overseeing all player acquisitions including the draft, he acquired 32 players who remained on the 49ers active roster at the end of 2011. After the lockout ended in summer of 2011, Baalke quietly signed 24 players in a 2 wk period; all remained on the team and 12 became starters. Three of those signees – K David Akers, FS Dashon Goldson and CB Carlos Rogers – earned Pro Bowl selections, while five others were named Pro Bowl alternates. Baalke is the SF architect, not Gamble. Further, I'm reading Gamble prefers the SD job. |
