Just don’t see a great match elsewhere.

Chargers? He’s been playing in front of rabid sold out barns for 20 years. Now? In front of 25K? Sure, they’d get a bump initially if Tom signed. But it’s CA. They’d rather be dodging whites on a surfboard.

Miami? Meh. I don’t think so.

I think he comes out early with a very team friendly extension and a presser to explain how he’s looking for the best team around him. A strong run at another championship or two.

Josh staying helps that too.
Load up on offensive weapons and keep grooming Studham (Mikie)...and dline.

Been thinking a lot in free moments about how this could play.

There’s a team about 5 hrs north that could make a serious offer. Yup. Buffalo.

Sure they have Allen. But we saw he’s not close to ready. He’d be well served watching a HoFer for a year. They have 9 draft picks. They are rolling over $27 mil into this years cap making their number $227 to most everyone’s $200. And they are already extremely competitive on D and seem to have a solid coach.

They’d be a real threat with Tom.

After the Gronk charade game last off-season and the void left at TE, there is no way the Patriots wait out Tom this year.

In fact I suggest they give him a date to return of be set free of March 18th.

Not really the same. The Pats have a QB on the roster they are grooming to take over. Was not like that at TE. Also, gronk leaving did not put the pats in rebuild mode like it would starting over with a young QB. Also, why does everyone think this is all Brady's choice?

I'm thinking they all cleared their locker. lol Season is over isnt it? Did he have a bonfire of pats gear in his front yard? I heard he changed his car color from blue to white, you know what that means.

Because his one-year, no-franchise-tag contract makes him a free agent on March 18 if he wants, even if the Pats want to keep him?

He can sign with any team he can work out a deal with, including the Pats. Brady is looking at 32 choices. All he has to do is convince the team of his choice that he is worth the price he is asking.

Maybe he'll sign with the 69ers...and they trade JimmyG back to the Pats for a 2nd.

I remember a few years back when Brady trashed Buffalo, basically saying all the hotels there are disgusting rat-traps. Also, I doubt he'd leave NE to play for the fan base that throws dildoes at him

Ok, first, how do you know this? Second, when has he said this, third, what price is he asking? Why is it people close to Brady dont know these things yet this board knows? Some of you listen to the media in Boston and act like its Gospel. It seems if you want Brady to leave you will believe anything that says he could be, if you dont want him to leave then there is a crooked eye at it. To me, there is a crooked eye at anything the media says, especially about him. So, yeah, nobody knows shit, not me, not you, and damn sure not the media, but the difference is, the media will post things to get you to click their story.

Do you actually read anyone's posts? What spacecrime posted is fact, not opinion. He's only referring to the current contract.

- His current contract is finished on March 18 and he is a free agent. The 2nd year of his existing contract automatically voids on 3/18. It's in the contract. Fact, not opinion.

- He cannot be franchised per the contract language. Fact not opinion.

- Therefore, on 3/18, he's an unrestricted free agent. Fact, not opinion.

- Therefore, he's free to negotiate with any team, ask for any price he desires and sign with any team willing to meet his terms. Fact, not opinion.

Now, there's been plenty of speculation and opinion on what he desires, what Kraft desires, what Belichick desires. But spacecrime's post did not reference that at all.

Please, put the Middy personality back in the bottle, it's getting more than tedious.

it is teh same, you have no flipping idea what that Studham is capable of, none of us fans do but I can promise it is not what we are used to and expect - no matter how good he is, he is not Steve Young replacing montana.

also if you hold 20 million to sign tom may 30th and he walks you lost out on rebuilding the team. you have to act quickly with Tom as you would any player.... IT is Laundry I love more than the people filling it out.

That $20+ mil will NOT be held past March 18. In fact, likely much sooner.

March 16 is legal tampering.

TB probably already knows interested parties via agent anyways.
