I simply have a screaming food lust for rich desserts- namely cheesecake and carrot cake....oh boy, love em...!

YouTube- I love the space/science documentaries and of course I mix in a little of those religion/atheism shows too.

Remember when Discovery Channel used to have those shows, before the "Darwinian Lumberjacks" reality shows?

I watch a lot of those docs on Youtube...too...but sadly, a lot of them are already 10 years or more old.

Yes, I remember when Discovery was simply the very best - I hadn't thought about that fact in a while, thanks for the reminder Baron.

Food: Not really food but cooking is my #1 guilty pleasure. Alton Brown has been mentioned here and he is a freaking genius. I have read all his books; I'm not afraid to try anything from the basics to the most complicated. Imo, his best book is his first, published in 2003 - "I'm Just Here For The Food" but they're all good. It's the ultimate cook's how-to manual.

TV: Anything on the Food Network. Good Eats, Beat Bobby Flay and Triple D are favs.

Plus Wicked Tuna. I've known Dave Carraro, of f/v Tuna.com, for a few years and I've taken my fam out with him at least once a year. Great guy, knows how to catch fish and nothing like the evil guy he's portrayed to be on the show. In fact, most of those guys are good friends who are scripted to act like jerks. That part is all fake as is the "winner" who is chosen by the producer. The action, however, is very real. (Paul Hebert has had tough times in real life & Dave helped Paul out during those tough times. He and Dave are actually good buddies although you'd never know it from the show. Tyler is the outlier of the group - he's young, brash and from NH rather than Gloucester - so he's not fully accepted as a part of the group although that's changing.)
