I miss Gronk

Im beginning to think the Pats will never have a season with a healthy Gronk for the whole season. He gets injured at the most inconvenient times. (Pretty much anytime during the regular season is inconvenient)

I heard someone say that if a Patriot is injured so he can't play, the player does not travel with the team for away games.

What about home games and players that are officially inactive? Will the Patriots make Gronk inactive, and will he be in sweats/warm-ups on the sidelines Sunday?

Probably. Ray Lewis was on the sidelines with the Ravens while he was injured.

It depends with BB. Sometimes he lets them be on the sides (Ty Law, SB 39) sometimes not (TB 2008).

This came up during the Houston game.

Before Gronk got hurt, Nantz and Simms were talking about him missing the previous game and Gronk said he watched it from his couch. They also said that was standard for the Pats.

Take this for what it's worth.

two thoughts,

the 1st one is covered by opt, the injured player does not do media or attend games, so not to be a distraction to the players who can actually play. I could see Gronk being a distraction.

the 2nd is Gronk will be at the SB if the Patriots are lucky enough to attend the game. I believe Goodell would pay for his ticket to have him there because Gronk Sells....his SI cover is the most purchased of all covers this year.

Just IMAGINE the videos of Gronk that will be coming out of NOLA.

I hope MontanaD'Angelo has a little chat with him before he gets to the Quarter.

Usually not. Patriots' policy under BB has been "injured players aren't on the sidelines". (This has been coming up since 'OMGWHYISNTBLEDSOEHELPINGBRADY' - and it's still a leftover from the post-Petey Carroll-era, I think. Fewer distractions.)

But, they've made exceptions for Super Bowls, I'm pretty sure. Ty Law was there for SB 39.

But, I mean, that's the ****ing Super Bowl a) and b) there are so many people one the sidelines anyway for that game, what's one more.

Ty Law was on the sidelines on his Rascal at the AFCCG in Pittsburgh in 2004.

Isn't he from the area?

Edit: I looked it up and he is from the area... Like Cambridge to Boston.

Gronk will be our Pollyshampoo, we will win when he is on the field and we will win slightly less when he is not.

You're right:

Quote:
Law has since returned to his mother's house outside of Pittsburgh, and will attend Sunday's AFC Championship game against the Steelers and sit in a private box. Law says if the Patriots get past the Steelers, "I'll buy me one of those motorized scooters so I can go up and down the sideline [at the Super Bowl] in Jacksonville [Fla.]. I might not be involved directly, but I want to be a part of this and be there for my teammates.
