Sean Payton gives choke sign to Freeman

During last night's game Payton gave Freeman the choke sign reminding him of the Falcons loss to the Pats in the SB, http://www.sportingnews.com/nfl/news...812n0v1vjmttxd

What is ironic is the Saints choked at the end of the game with Brees throwing a pick late in the game when they had a chance to tie the game or go ahead.

Lot of love for the Saints and Sean from Pats fans. He had our back during DG for sure.

I always feel like Sean says and does what BB wants to and doesn't.

That's why I say as bad as the NFL treated the Pats, the Saints got it worse. I'd have had apoplexy if the Pats had lost BB for the year. Along with I heard during NFL Live on Friday I think that the Saints have had like 9 or 10 road Thursday night games since 2006, by far the worst in the league. Hard to argue that's 100% coincidence since the bounty fiasco at least.

Big fan of his. That onside kick in the Superbowl was a thing of beauty and courage. He also played QB in our (UK) league years ago, so I have to like him for that. I also heard him in a recent post victory press conference and he was more than happy to admit they were lucky to win.

Matt Bowen admitted in a column that bounties for really good hits were commonplace. I think there's an unwillingness by the general public to admit that professionals in a violent and extremely competitive game do stuff that's morally borderline. The NFL therefore makes the odd example of teams for image reasons. Hence Bountygate, Spygate etc.
