10 years, $100 million.

That's the answer.

For that swimming pool full of cash, Chuckie would have come back even if he hated football.

But he doesn't. I liked him as a broadcaster for the most part, but I always had the sense that he found it a little depressing to be sitting in a booth talking about football. He felt tanned, rested and ready for another shot.

A lot of folks around here don't like the dude, but nobody can tell me that he doesn't get cranked up for the X's and O's, the competition, the power and glory and all that stuff. Jon Gruden is a football guy.

Not that I'm real optimistic for him to do well with the Raiders, but a part of me wants to see it happen and shut the haterz up.

Yeah. I have always loked Chucky for your reasons. Plus he gives football some semblance of personality.

Used to be that a lot of NFL coaches had a certain style to them. Hank Stram, Mike Ditka, Lombardi.

Who is the recent addition to the HC ranks anywhere in the league that has ANY fucking flair to them? Some sort of defining characteristic? I'd be hard pressed to name one.

Chuckie is a throwback to the days when characters were the rule and not the exception. Let's just hope his game plans aren't throwbacks, too.

Pederdink is a bit jackassish...but, most of the other new hires are faceless.

The Rams new coach is good, but, doesn't have a signature uniqueness about him.
