They'll have it this year. Brady clocks #6 and rides off to the sunset. JMD takes a HC job somewhere, the 2nd year QB with a history of doing well with new offensive coordinators, and a year of understudying the GOAT, kills it.

Manziel has phenomenal talent. Channeled in a proper environment I still believe he could thrive.

And he doesn’t require ANY draft capital.

I believe they will use a high pick next year on QB. Possible trade up. I’d place odds at least 90%.

I really think they want the Brady overlap with the next QB.
There were a few decent qb's that have played in the CFL...and transitioned into the NFL.

Sure.

For all we know it could be the agreement. Go to America’s hat. Commit. Play your ass off. Stay clean. We’ll talk in 6 months.

Just stop. The Pats didn't sign Manziel when they could have had him for Veteran minimum. They aren't going to sign Manziel in the future. They were never going to sign Manziel.

The only agreement is that 32 teams are in agreement that Manziel isn't worth a roster spot even when the roster limit is 90 players, not even as a temporary camp arm for a couple of months in the summer.

Flutie went to the CFL and returned to the NFL. Manziel is NOT Doug Flutie.

never say never.

Johnny needs to show maturity and TMZ is on his tail looking for him to mess up. IF he stays clean and plays well he could get a call and that is when the Keapheads will really lose it.

Today is the Patriots' "fantasy camp" (those who attend get to experience
a day in the life of a player), and Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski are present at Gillette Stadium
leading into mandatory minicamp on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Al Breer talks about the impact Brady/Gronk missing OTAs have had/will have on the team

edit: He also talks about Cassius Marsh throwing a hissy fit at halftime of the game in Mexico for lack of playing time. Marsh was released 2 days later.

Brady and Gronkowski reported to Gillette Stadium on Monday morning in anticipation of this week’s mandatory minicamp, according to a source. This arrival time has been their plan for weeks, as The Athletic reported last month they’d report in time for minicamp.
The Patriots have been aware for weeks Brady and Gronkowski would show up this week. It’s unclear how Bill Belichick has felt about their respective absences during the first seven weeks of the voluntary offseason workout program, but he hasn’t been left in the dark about their prolonged decision to avoid Gillette.
Brady has dealt with a number of other commitments in recent weeks, including family matters, his annual Best Buddies fundraiser, paid business ventures and a trip to Monaco as a guest of the prince.
Brady was also throwing passes to wide receiver Julian Edelman in the Gillette Stadium practice bubble earlier in the offseason, but the quarterback stayed away from both the bubble and his TB12 training center at Patriot Place during the past two weeks of organized team activities. Brady didn’t want the optics of being near Gillette while his teammates were practicing. All the while, he has continued his workout program with personal trainer Alex Guerrero, but some of those recent sessions have taken place at Brady’s house in Brookline where he has an identical setup as the TB12 facility.
Brady, Gronk, Edelman, maybe Chris Hogan and others have planned to work out together in Montana this summer during the break between OTAs and training camp. The team’s offseason workout program concludes next week, and training camp is scheduled to begin July 25.
Gronkowski told Belichick in April that he would indeed play in 2018. The two sides have made significant progress on a reworked contract, to the point where The Athletic reported he will likely play the upcoming season under new terms. It hasn’t been disclosed when the contract will be finalized, though it’s believed the final details are all that remain and Gronk didn’t want to participate in voluntary workouts and risk an injury before signing the deal. Gronkowski has also maintained his commitment to Guerrero’s training program and was at the TB12 facility during OTAs.
The Patriots’ minicamp runs Tuesday through Thursday. However, the team is hosting its annual fantasy camp Monday, so Brady and Gronk arrived for that and any other preparations for the minicamp. The Patriots tweeted photos of both players working at the camp on late Monday morning.

True. They didn’t sign him. But they showed interest. Twice.

Report: Cassius Marsh Threw a Major Hissy Fit in the Patriots Locker Room

Quote:
I must admit, I had Cassius Marsh all wrong. By midway through last season, I just considered him to be an underachieving, irrelevant slapdick whom the Patriots wasted two draft picks on. When he came out last week putting Belichick on blast saying it’s no fun to play for him and he liked San Francisco way more, I naturally assumed he’s the kind of loser who’s happier playing for a 1-10 team with an easy coach as opposed to having the best record in football under a tough coach who gets the most out of him. But in light of this new information, my position on the Cassius Marsh question has … evolved.

No you wouldn’t.

You’d spend it on a whole bunch of stupid shit and your house would end up featured on an episode of Hoarders.
